We arrived Friday evening quite late and despite this our hosts, Gerard and Erika were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were welcomed to a lovely room with an en suite bathroom and a bar refrigerator (three single beads). The bedding smelt fresh and the bathroom was pleasant, and there was enough light in the room. The window looked out on a Acorn tree, and the tree provided nice shading (although on this particular day it was raining). The next morning we were welcomed to a nice breakfast at the time requested. Ample fresh fruit salad and yogurt was especially nice. We were also treated to fresh percolated coffee which was refilled on our request, and the conversation was pleasant. We really felt spoilt, even to the point of guilt. In the evening when going back to the lodge it almost felt like going back to our sanctuary. Eventually, despite a busy weekend, we felt well rested. Thank you Gerard and Erika for your wonderful hospitality! …
We had a lovely stay! It was such a please to meet the owners. The are personally involved in the day to day management of the guesthouse. It is a great place to stay. Very centrally situated. They follow all the covid rules and we felt safe staying there.
We were not aware that the city is in a way split in two. So if you don't have a car it can be difficult to go to the "other part ". So you have to choose your part! The host were very attentive and helping.
The owners were very friendly and gave us good advise. The bedrooms and bathrooms looked very clean and the showers were perfect. It is easy to visit Cape Town because there is a stop for the Hop-On, Hop-Off bus nearby. Some nice restaurants are just around the corner so very convenient in the evenings.
Erica and Gerard were very friendly and looked after us well. The rooms are spacious and the beds really comfortable. The location is good - about 10 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the harbour. There are some nice restaurants less than 5 minutes away.
