Detailed Reviews
My wife and I stayed at the Leeu Estates for 2 nights on our trip in South Africa and it was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. From the moment you drive in you can feel the attention to detail that makes this hotel special. Set within the beautiful hills of Franschoek the setting is beautiful with lots of trees, stunning gardens and secluded spots for relaxing. The staff were some of the friendliest we’ve come across with great big smiles every time you saw them and were very helpful in helping us plan out our agenda and how we spent our time. The food is to an incredibly high standard and the hotels sister restaurant Le Coin is a must for all foodies. The Leeu Estate is the sort of place that everything is already there before you even know you need it and we couldn’t recommend it more. We’re already trying to find excuses to go back!

Leeu Estates is a very classy establishment. Not inexpensive in terms of Franschhoek or South African pricing (which is generally very reasonable if measured against global products of a similar category), but I would definitely say it is worth every cent. The accommodation is elegant, extremely comfortable, and spacious, but it is the setting that really makes you feel exhilarated. The gardens are magnificent, and the art and extraordinary sculpture collection are without comparison in South Africa. The dining experience at La Chene is wonderful, and its very difficult to leave the restaurant as the view over the gardens is mesmerizing.

Right from stepping in the front door, the service was exceptional. We stayed for 4 nights & Concierge sorted bookings for dinner for the 3 nights we had not pre-arranged anything & the free shuttle was perfect too - always there when needed. Room & facilities are stunning, grounds & garden amazing & the staff so helpful. Will definitely return

This is a wonderful hotel, with excellent service in a glorious setting. It still has one or two teething problems, house keeping was a little inconsistent and the breakfast had few healthy options. However, the staff were superb, very friendly and polite and always there to find solutions for any issues. Slightly concerned that if the hotel gets too big that the Spa swimming pool will become over-crowded. It already gets quite crowded on a Saturday when Spa users come in, although I know they are only allowed to use the pool if they spend a certain amount. We loved walking around the grounds every morning and evening, so peaceful and such stunning surroundings. Lots to do close by as well.

Highly recommended! Beautiful grounds, great food and helpful staff made our stay an absolute pleasure. The location is superb and the free shuttle service around the area (10km radius) is an added benefit. Not to mention wine tasting on your doorstep.

This hotel has an absolute ‘wow factor’! The staff could not have done enough for us. The room was gorgeous and the grounds and views spectacular.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special in every way. We had not made any dinner reservations in Franschhoek and thankfully Zerico had made a provisional reservation for us ... just in case. This was a great service as we would never have managed to get a last minute booking. They also provided a complementary shuttle service dropping us off at restaurants and picking us up again. They think of everything.
Amazingly Storm and the team realised it was my wife’s birthday during our stay and arranged some surprises for her.
The only disappointment was the we had not arranged to stay longer ... and incidentally they had the most comfortable bed 👏👏👏

My husband and I stayed here for our 40th Anniversary, we were amazed at the views and grounds of this hotel, they were immaculate. This hotel is of a very high standard the rooms were beautiful and the breakfast amazing and well presented. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. We only stayed for two nights but could have stayed longer as we didn't get to use the pool and spa. We did do the wine tram which we would thoroughly recommend. The hotel provided a complimentary shuttle service which we used to go into Franschhoek was very reliable. We will look back at this experience with fond memories.

This hotel is one of the absolute best we've stayed in around the world. Everything from the staff to the room and the grounds were all spectacular! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a warm and personal welcome. We had made zero plans before arriving but within 15 minutes, our concierge Denver had us fully booked for 2 greats days of fun and fantastic dining experiences. Denver continued to tend to us during the entire stay to ensure we had an excellent time. Another staff member, Ethan, also went above and beyond for us at each encounter, driving my wife and I around during the sunset to ensure we captured the best pictures possible. In my opinion, there is no better hotel to stay at than the Leeu Estates.

We stayed at Leeu Estates whilst visiting a friends wedding in the area, it is one of the most beautiful hotels surrounded by stunning grounds and vinneyards. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, they will go out of their way for anything you need we couldn’t fault them in any way, they are an asset to the hotel. Definitely make sure you visit the spa, facilities, cleanliness and staff are second to none.
We often ate by the pool area for a more casual lunch, food was amazing or if you want more fine dining you can eat in the hotel restaurant which overlooks the beautiful gardens.
Honestly faultless and one of the best hotels we have every stayed in, anyone looking for a relaxing holiday (especially with love for wine) must stay here!

Leeu Estates was simply incredible. Breath taking scenery, inspiring manicured landscape, and world class treatment. In addition to the best service we've experienced, this was truly a place to relax, clear your mind, and drink some of the finest wine in the country.
We had an action packed honey moon and to be honest, I was least excited about visiting the wine country- especially because we live in Northern California with Napa in our backyard. Boy was I in for a surprise!
We ate at two amazing restaurants, took a private wine tour and upon returning to the Leeu estates we met the Founder, Analjit (Bas) Singh and his family.
After an incredible dinner at EPIC (same owner) we returned to our room where we found 2 bottles of their best wine along with a Leeu Collection Art and Landscape book with a hand written personal note from Bas and his wife.
This is a small act of kindness that says a lot about the owners and their standard of excellence .
We have great memories from this trip and wish we stayed longer- we will surely be back!
