Having booked our stay for 2020, our trip to SA was cancelled due to COVID and once again in 2021!
We had made our reservation directly with the venue and the change of dates were dealt with, without any fuss by the magnificent Frauke, who made all the amendments without any fuss and even kept the rates the same as we were quoted for 2020.
On our arrival we were greeted like long lost friends, as we had been in contact so frequently over the last few years, whilst making our revisions to dates.
As we were travelling over our 39th wedding anniversary, we decided to book the honeymoon suite and we were not disappointed. The room was vast, with an open fireplace, which we used each night, a patio and beautifully decorated and furnished suit.
The included breakfast was available in the main building each morning and provided the perfect Start to each day.
Located a short distance from the main centre, it is perfectly located to access a great selection of restaurants, with Reuben’s being our number one recommendation and easy access to the Franschhoek Wine Tram…a must when visiting for a marvellous wine tasting experience around the local Wine farms.
Frauke was available every morning to help with recommendations for daily itineraries and was a fountain of knowledge about what to do and where to go.
We loved our stay at Lavender Farm and were sorry when we had to leave but will certainly stay once again in the future.
Although a minor grumble, with the location of our room being at the furthest point from the main building, the Wi-Fi single was very weak and regularly dropped out…but wasn’t really a major issue.
The Luxury Suites The Lavender Guest House are spacious and elegant and tastefully decorated. It has a stunning en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower.
After a day of sightseeing and wine tasting, it is the perfect venue to relax at their beautiful pool area with views to die for or have a sunset picnic with a backdrop of lavender and the majestic views of the Franschhoek mountains.
I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a touch of Provence and romance in the heart of Franschhoek.
Frauke is an absolutely angel and it so delightful meeting someone so friendly and accommodating when you travel!

We understood left our bags and when getting back to collect them Schalk being there we requested him for a place to change he immediately offered the room #1 but said we couldn't shower as the geyser wasn't on as it was empty for the week. the breakfast was nice but the room was cold and soul less. No power shedding were told nor the genset started in the night.
The bottom line is that the place being placed like this could easily be improved by a bit more human and deco warmth that i assume won't cost much but could greatly improve customers experience.
