#1 of 63 Speciality lodging in Franschhoek
Travellers' Choice
Situated behind the historical Huguenot Monument and Museum, and within 5 minute walking distance from the town center. Laying beneath the impressive Middagkrans Mountains, and a short drive up the Franschhoek pass to one of the most surreal views of the town and valley, is La Providence Farm/Guesthouse! Set amongst a picturesque garden of roses and other indigenous plant, a hectare of vineyards and a Cypress avenue, as you enter the farm. The farm consists of 7 guestrooms, with a very modern and sophisticated interior. The old farm house buildings gives you a sense of time gone by. Each room has its own Nescafe coffee machine, a mini fridge where one can sit on your terrace and enjoy a glass of wine in the afternoon as the sunsets!! There is an entertainment area for our guests, a short walk from the rooms where one can enjoy a swim in our 12m pool, or laze about on a sunbed and admire the view of the mountains or vineyard. There is a bar with a wooden deck leading out to the pool, or in the evening sit in boma around a fire and enjoy the Milk way with a glass of 'Lewenslust' our local house wine.

We travel all over the world - visiting Bali, Singapore, Australia just before lock down, but this gem is the first place we chose to visit after lockdown. Why? Because of all the places we have been to, we are drawn back to this little piece of paradise. The location and the property are simply stunning and the service is also first rate. I can't overstate how wonderful we find this place. To put it into context, I also have a luxury accommodation overlooking the sea in the UK. My guests only give me 5 star reviews - but I feel that this property is on a different level. It exceeds mine, for sure. It ticks every box. If I could give a higher review, I definitely would. This property is EXCEPTIONAL in every respect. Thank you again for an amazing stay in an amazing place. We will definitely be back. Kindest regards to staff and owners. Julie & Steve

The farm is truly a little gem with amazing gardens, beautiful manor houses and pool area. The location is also perfect as it is close enough to town but just far enough away to be quite and with amazing views of the valley. The management went out of their way to accommodate us with our needs and they really provided 5 star treatment. We will definitely be back and can recommend this to anyone looking for a truly memorable stay in Franschhoek.

Our stay at this place was amazing, the hospitality was personal but very professional. They exceeded our expectation. The quality of the breakfast and the bar servings were beyond our expectations. The room we had was spacious and clean. The property is very well looked after and provides such a relaxing atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay and we will be returning there when we go to Franschoek.
