Great place to stay in Franschhoek. Walking distace to the town centre (10-15 minutes), safe during the day, taxi's to go back after dinner in town,are always available.Cristell, the Manager/receptionist, is extremely helpfull. She managed to book 3 different restaurants for us on three night that every place was fully booked. You can choose your favorite cooked warm breakfast. Even problems with grease stains on clothes are washed away by the ladies in the laundry department. A perfect place to discover Franschhoek and the winecountry and to relax afterwards in the lovely and lush garden by the pool. Cool drinks available for small prices at the reception. We will definitively come back.

I booked out the entire guesthouse out for the weekend for my bacholerette weekend.
I could not have asked for a better stay - the rooms are very large, each with their own en-suite bathroom.
The view of the mountain is breaktaking. The location is very central and close to everything else.

Christelle was an amazing host and was extremely helpful with activities around the area. She made us feel welcome and was very attentive our needs during the stay. A very hearty breakfast was served at the guesthouse. Gable manor is a very affordable and wonderful Gem in Franschoek which is very near to the centre of the town.

I made the reservation at Gable Manor for two of my fellow workers who were attending the Deputy Heads' Conference at Bridge House. They came back full of praise for the accommodation and words like luxury, comfort, space and privacy came to the fore. They both said they felt like they had been spoilt rotten!

Gable Manor, a small cosy comfortable little home from home. The service is limited due to the sice of the hotel/BB. Load shedding every day, but we managed well because of ekstra lamps from the BB staff. Christell fixed! A smal pool surrounded by a lush garden. Clean sheets on the sun chairs everyday. The breakfast staff was amazing. Miss them already. They fixed us what ever we wanted even though it was in the middle of a load shedding period. Franschhoek is a culinary cradle of South Africa. They have the beautiful wine-train that takes you around from vineyards to wineries. A must. The town itself with its history is also something to take in mind. The Saturday marked is also a must.

This was our first stopover after leaving Cape Town. The guest house is fabulous and about a 10 minute walk into the centre of Franschhoek. The rooms were beautiful and very well appointed. It’s situated in a very quiet area, so you’re assured of a good nights sleep. We stayed for 3 nights and were made very welcome. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff are so friendly. Thoroughly recommend it, but if you have mobility problems you may be better trying to get a taxi back in the evening as it is part way up a hill.

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time! Very kind host, lovely accommodation and a beautiful garden. Just a 10 min walk to the center of Franschhoek through a very nice amd safe neighbourhood. Only thing that didn‘t work that well was wifi in the rooms. But that didn‘t bother at all. I can really recommend this guesthouse and I‘ll definitley come back.
