I have been going there for hmm mm must be more than 3 0 years. It is an attraction in itself, and often we drive there just to soak in the scenery. The acoustics are unbelievable and the scenery spectacular. If you can't get a room , just treat yourself to a lunch. The food is always out of this...

We stayed here in September & unfortunately the hotel was still being renovated . Because of this the restaurant was not open so we could not have any meals here including breakfast, which meant a trip to another winery every morning for breakfast , which was ok , the food was fine although there was some confusion about what we...

We were a large group that went there for Lunch. When you get there and go outside off the back, there is a stairs that leads to an open space where you have an amazing view. Vast areas of grape vines a lake and the mountains. Pics are recommended They have a group set menu. We tried the Aubergines and...

We had the Verandah room in the Manor House with the most amazing patio (verandah) imaginable. Lunch was arranged on said verandah as I was unable to access the restaurant and the food was sensational. Given the beautiful surroundings of the accommodation I'm not sure why anyone would want to leave if until the very last second. I wouldn't hesitate...

We are glad that we stayed in Franschhoek rather than Stellenbosch, and we are glad that we chose La Petite Ferme. It was a little bit out of town which made for a quiet stay. The views across the vineyard and over the valley from our room were lovely. Breakfast was great (included) and we also ate lunch one day....

Really good fine dining, great wines, exquisite deserts and out of this world views. The restaurant was recently renovated and no cost was spared here. Exclusive wine glasses made from recycled glass out of Swaziland, exclusive pottery plates, beautifully presented food and interesting ingredients.

I love this place, I think this is my 4th visit and I will be back. Scenic, wonderful rooms and a fantastic restaurant combine for a happy stay. They know what they do well and don't disappoint on views, food and luxury accommodation. It's not a five star review for me because of the things they miss that should be...

Sorry it has taken me a few days to respond - I think it's probably a 2-3 mile walk into town and the wine train is almost smack in the middle of town. And it's not that easy of a walk; the first hall is along a pretty busy road with lots of fast traffic. I think it would be easier and safer to take a cab. The hotel office is closed starting early evening so it can be a little hard to arrange for a cab unless you reserve it early. It's a great hotel, just not that convenient to the downtown area.
