I stopped over for just one night instead of driving back to Cape Town at night after boozy dinner.
Perfectly comfortable with a big shower (but no soap only body wash, which I dislike)

Could not find the control for the ceiling fan but the aircon sufficed. Good night’s sleep and hearty breakfast and I was off... back to the Big Smoke.

I should warn future clients that ‘Versailles’ (my room’s name) has a stud wall behind the bed and is not sound proof at all - could cause some embarrassment due to neighbour’s activities.

We travelled to Franschhoek in the wake of our participation on the Cape Rouleur cycle tour. We stayed 5 nights at Le Petit Paris in preference to the recommended hotels. It was a good decision. The guest house is ideally located two blocks above Huguenot Street (R45) - the main drag through the town. Franschhoek attractions are within easy walking distance from the guest house; at the same time sufficiently removed form the hubbub to ensure a calm and restful stay. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The service was really outstanding. Colin and his team could not have done more to make our stay really memorable. They advised on local attractions, recommended and booked restaurants on our behalf and responded with understated charm and efficiency to short-notice exigencies such as early breakfasts and emergency washing of cycling gear. All absolutely first-class. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Le Petit Paris to anyone intending to spend a few days in Franschhoek and the surrounding area. We intend to return in 2021.

Le Petit Paris is a nice little guesthouse quite centrally located in Franschoek, i.e. restaurants and shops are within walking distance. The owner granted us an update to a beautiful and spacious room which we really liked. Breakfast was served on the charming outdoor terrace or inside in the breakfast room. Either the owner and the staff were always eager to make us feel comfortable and make the most of our stay. WiFi was very good. One thing that is typical for South Africa: There were several power breakdowns during our three-night-stay.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary in Franschhoek and chose Le Petit Paris because it was a short walk to the main roads and shops/restaurants. We had an upstairs room that was extremely spacious and had a bathroom with both a bath tub and shower, which we loved. The staff were extremely friendly and Colin wonderfully helpful. The breakfast was also excellent. If I really had to find something that could be improved, it might be the duvet, cushions and soft-toys, which some might find quaint and others might find dated.

Lovely little place. The room was well equipped with everything we needed and it was a bonus to have all the recommended local places in a booklet that we could read through when we had extra time on our hands. There is a cozy common lounge area with complimentary house drinks. We also enjoyed a bottle of sparkling wine, which was organized by the owner along with some rose petals for the bedroom turn down, to enjoy in and amongst their pretty gardens. The owner was always present to help out, chat or provide personalised recommendations. We also had a lovely breakfast each morning although the breakfast times seemed a bit shorter than most places but that didnt bother us. We had a rather large car, double cab 4x4, but parking was not a worry at all as there is a vacant parking location across the road of Le Petit Paris which we were given a remote to access via an automated gate. Beds were very comfy and spacious and robes were provided and new towels were replaced when needed as well. The only double edged sword was that we had a Bath and a Shower but the shower was in the bath. At least a non slip mat was provided though. Overall very happy

We were staying for 2 night in Le Petit Paris guesthouse, and loved it so much.
We had to change the dates for our stay so many times due to Covid, and Colin helped us, and was so nice and helpful, with all our requests.
We were staying at the La Rochelle room, which was spacious and clean, overlooking the pool, with amazing mountain view.
The guesthouse itself is so beautiful, and there are so many special things that reminded us our trip to France.
Service was really good, the staff are doing anything they can, to please the guest's requests.
Lounge area is so beautiful with French design, and there is a selection of good wines in the honest bar.
Location - the guesthouse is in a safe neighbourhood, just 2 minutes walk from the main street, where you can find all the restaurants and shops.
We cannot wait to return, highly recommended.

We spent two nights here whilst visiting Franschoek and had the best of stays at Le Petit Paris. There are new owners who are really keen to please. We were greeted by Billy who showed us our room and explained everything, helped with bags from the car and was lovely. The room was large and well appointed - breakfast was outside on the terrace and was a great selection, with freshly squeezed orange juice and cooked and continental options. A small plunge pool was perfect for a dip to cool off and the hotel is well located to walk into town and catch the wine tram etc. Load shedding was not an issue for this hotel and service continued as planned . Would definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area. Good value for money.

Le Petit Paris is ideally situated whether you want to explore the wine farms around Franschhoek or find a resting place on your way down The Garden Route. Our very comfortable room had beautiful views and was also within easy reach of the charming main street. Our host Colin was very welcoming and was happy to take the time to help us plan our stay in the area. The breakfast delivered by friendly staff is a great way to start the day - make sure you leave time to enjoy the guest house's garden too!

What a wonderful stay. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious with lovely views and the best bed I have ever slept on. My room was so well-equipped with extras such as dressing gowns, hair dryers and straighteners and a heater and the swimming pool was so refreshing! I will be back without a doubt!

Franshhoek was our penultimate stop before we left wonderful South Africa and I couldn’t have chosen a better hotel.
From the moment we stepped into the premises it was perfect!
We received a lovely warm welcome from Colin and when we were shown to our room, well just Wow!!!
Attention to detail was beautiful with the decor, furnishings, everything.
Breakfast was delicious 😋
The location of Le Petit Paris was perfect, 5 minute walk and you are on the Main Street of beautiful Franshhoek.
Thank you Colin for your help with table reservations and helping us choose the route for the Wine Tram 🥂🥂🥂
The grey route was perfect , although we did stay a lot longer at Haute Cabriere than intended , so missed a few out !!!!
If you are planning a trip to this beautiful town, then look no further than this amazing B&B, you will not be disappointed.
Good Luck Colin for the rest of the season and the future and we hope to be back one day👍
