Great accommodations, staff, location, and breakfasts. Laundry services are very affordable so if you are like us and travel light it's easy to get your clothes washed and ironed the same day. Wonderful restaurants within a short walk.

Amazing visit from check in with Lorenzo to check out with Leigh. The room was absolutely stunning and the food was amazing. Beautiful views of the mountains from our room no 8. Well worth visiting Leeu Estates as part of the inclusions. Stunning views and beautiful surroundings. Had a wonderful massage. Thank you. We will be back

The owner of this hotel is committed to the Franschhoek region and it’s people. It shows in every detail of your stay as well as the interactions with all of the staff. The playful sculptures of baboons and rabbits throughout the property create a casual fun atmosphere, which blends well with luxurious amenities. Set in a perfect location to enjoy the town of Franschhoek, Le Quartier Francois provided an ideal setting for what has been the best stop on our trip.

Our stay at Le Quartier Francais was one of the main highlights from our 10-day South Africa trip. The grounds are unbelievably serene and immaculate, and I felt every worry slip away minutes after getting there. The staff was SO INCREDIBLE and took care of absolutely everything. The peaceful courtyard breakfast was heavenly, and room service was equally perfect. I was able to walk through vineyards and shops within minutes but honestly would have been happy spending my whole day on the lovely property. I can't wait to return and would recommend this spot to anyone looking for relaxation and luxury in the Winelands.

I work in the travel industry and have done so for over 35 years. I had a honeymoon couple booked in for two nights and unfortunately one of them tested positive for covid-19. This was part of a pre-departure requirement from the U.K. I have used Le Quartier Francais many times for my customers but the fact that they charged 100% cancellation fee 5 days prior to arrival left a bitter taste. My customers have re-booked but I have booked somewhere else for them. During these times. Hotels need to be understanding and flexible. Clearly they are not here. Out of seven different bookings for my customers at different properties, Le Quartier Francais was the only one who enforced 100% cancellation. I won’t be using them for customers in the future.

The property is classical and beautiful. It is located at the center of Franschoek. We had a spacious room overlooking the pool. Service was welcoming and helpful. We had the tasting menus in both restaurants and they were superb. The TV menu is limited to Netflix. We didn’t mind it but it’s worth being aware. We really enjoyed our stay!

I would have given this a higher review, except for the fact that their tv service sucks. First of all, you can only stream service here, so if you want current news or sports, you are out of luck. If you do want to stream something on Netflix or YouTube, you will have to wait every 5 minutes for it to buffer. This is the only thing keeping this from 5 stars, but it is SUPER ANNOYING!!!!!!!!

I rarely leave reviews but the team at Le Quartier Francais were absolutely amazing. during our three night stay in early February. The location is ideal - right at the heart of town but with a very peaceful setting and immaculate grounds. Our room was enormous and beautifully designed with a great eye for detail. The service from the entire team was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. We could not recommend more highly.

We were upgraded to the House Suite and were absolutely thrilled. The suite as amazing with our private pool which was an absolute treat. The staff and their service as truly exceptional. We never wanted for anything and were driven by Stanley and Angelo wherever we wanted to go - very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Charlene was also truly amazing and tended to our every need. I must make a special mention of Rebecca in the Protege restaurant - she went out of her way to make our meals special - she was an absolute delight. We will most definitely recommend this property to all our friends.

Apologies this review is so late What a hotel and what amazing staff! The concierge Debbie is just stunningly brilliant and ultra personable. We were hoping to go to Nelson Mandela’s villa in the nearby prison but Debbie informed us this wasn’t open to the public. The ‘Walk to Freedom’ is iconic in every sense, and something we wanted to feel first hand. Our room was upgraded to a full suite (stunning) and the phone went at 5.00pm asking us to be in reception at 11.00am the next day. Debbie has arranged a personal escorted tour of the villa with Regan (our wonderful driver, ex policeman who had been paralysed by a car accident 14 years ago) and Pastor Manfred Jacobs the most wonderful human being you could wish to Meet. Emotional doesn’t get close , but thank you is hugely inadequate - nonetheless thank you Debbie, Regan and Pastor Jacobs - it was life changing. The hotel is exceptional, everything is just perfect- thank you so much - we are coming back for the British Lions tour and hope to be back . Much love xxx
