We were upgraded to the House Suite and were absolutely thrilled. The suite as amazing with our private pool which was an absolute treat. The staff and their service as truly exceptional. We never wanted for anything and were driven by Stanley and Angelo wherever we wanted to go - very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Charlene was also truly amazing and tended to our every need. I must make a special mention of Rebecca in the Protege restaurant - she went out of her way to make our meals special - she was an absolute delight. We will most definitely recommend this property to all our friends.

Apologies this review is so late What a hotel and what amazing staff! The concierge Debbie is just stunningly brilliant and ultra personable. We were hoping to go to Nelson Mandela’s villa in the nearby prison but Debbie informed us this wasn’t open to the public. The ‘Walk to Freedom’ is iconic in every sense, and something we wanted to feel first hand. Our room was upgraded to a full suite (stunning) and the phone went at 5.00pm asking us to be in reception at 11.00am the next day. Debbie has arranged a personal escorted tour of the villa with Regan (our wonderful driver, ex policeman who had been paralysed by a car accident 14 years ago) and Pastor Manfred Jacobs the most wonderful human being you could wish to Meet. Emotional doesn’t get close , but thank you is hugely inadequate - nonetheless thank you Debbie, Regan and Pastor Jacobs - it was life changing. The hotel is exceptional, everything is just perfect- thank you so much - we are coming back for the British Lions tour and hope to be back . Much love xxx

Upon arrival we were given a complimentary drink and shown the ground. The ground and pool were extremely well kept and restaurants were fabulous nothing looked out of place. After our wander around we went to the room and WOW it was huge the bathroom was nearly the same size as my whole downstairs, beds were huge, the mini bar was great and also the little patio area was fabulous a great little sun trap and as we are from Scotland a great place to hang the wet washing ! Superb hotel

We’ve been to Franschhoek 8 times over the last 12 years and have stayed at other properties including Mont Rochelle and La Cle des Montagnes. We go to immerse ourselves in the laidback lifestyle and also to experience world class cuisine at the most amazing concentration of gourmet restaurants in such a picturesque and beautiful setting. In Le Quartier Francais we have found THE best place to stay in Franschhoek. The whole ambience - complete seclusion and privacy in the resident’s areas at the rear of the property, including gorgeous rooms and a tranquil pool area. At the same time, the vibrancy and atmosphere of the Protege bar and restaurant, and the terrace overlooking the high street. All amidst a most eclectic and stunning art collection. The perfect combination. The complimentary shuttle service is excellent as is the opportunity to experience the other Leeu properties in Franschhoek as a quasi guest. The truly outstanding highlight, however, is the people at LQF - so friendly and attentive. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.
