Spend a couple of lovely nights at Hotel du Vin. The Hotel is very well located in close proximity to the Main Street, along a quiet side street with private parking. Our room was compact and tastefully decorated, and while it opened directly onto a veranda parallel to the side street and adjacent to the main Hotel building, it was safe and secure. Breakfast included a buffet and choice of cooked breakfast, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Just spent a wonderful 2 days at hotel du vin. Very centrally located in Franschhoek and just a 2 min walk to the bars and restaurants. The hotel has a good size pool and the rooms are very spacious, plenty of toiletries with good quiet aircon. Staff are lovely and friendly and can’t do enough to help. The biggest surprise was the price - about half that of similar hotels we have stayed at whilst in South Africa/Cape Town/surrounding areas. A great find and one we will definitely return to when back in South Africa!! 😀😀😀

We had the best stay recently at Hotel du Vin, incl our first dining experience at Cafe Du Vin. From check in with Lori Anne, she has kindly assisted us and guided us through the facilities at Hotel du Vin and took us to our room. We stayed in the Deluxe Luxury Room. Beautiful decor. Lovely setup. Very romantic! We also had the opportunity to meet Christine and Vanja, the breakfast was top - notch. I loved the decor and ambience, and everyone being so attentive to the guests at breakfast service. At Cafe du Vin, we arrived at 18h00 for dinner and was warmly welcomed by Chef Ahmed. What a delight of a person! So friendly, so kind, a true gentleman! The heartfelt welcome and hug we received from him was truly special. Then we want to mention Corne as well, for his kind table side service - he is very professional. Chef Ahmed is a true star at Cafe du Vin. If opportunity arises, we would LOVE to return to Hotel du Vin and will definitely consider to stay longer. Thank you so much Celeste, Vanja and Robert! ♥️

Lovely quaint hotel. Fantastic wine system for after hours. Several self service bottles, you buy a card top it up and service yourself when bar closed. Hotel room was a little noisy as on the road. The floor is tiled and was very cold under foot. A rug in winter would have been helpful but flooring would be a blessing in summer months! Very central for restaurants and the wine tram. Breakfast was good and the outside patio looked great for summer. We visited in the worst storms they had for 20 yrs, snow even closed roads day before we arrived. Although cold and terrestrial rain all the time this didn’t stop us enjoying Franschhoek.

Thank you Hotel du Vin for making our last night in South Africa and our second visit to Franschhoek so special. The rooms were amazing with exceptionally comfortable beds and you couldn't have made us feel more welcome. The breakfast was also delicious.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Booking in was a breeze albeit that i had not booked in advance they were willing to accommodate us by moving other guests that still had to arrive . The Chef ensured that our breakfast was a daily delight. Will most definitely stay there again.

We stayed for 5 nights at the totally re-furbished Hotel du Vin recently. The staff could not have done more to make our stay memorable and the whole establishment has been given a new lease of life since our visit when it was Le Ballon Rouge. Congratulations and good luck to everyone there. We will be back.

The staff and the food was just amazing. This place is ment to be for us europeans, and i will for sure go back! 100%! Chef Ahmed is a top top lad!
Hotel du vin is at a perfect location, where is not to noisy, and you have everything to see just outside the hotel. I can recommend this at the finest!

It is the prefect spot for exploring all that Franschhoek has to offer. On the doorsteps of the restaurants, the wine tram etc. We stayed here before and would always recommend. Lovely comfortable rooms, great shower and delicious breakfast. The staff are warm and attentive. If you are looking for a great few days at the start of the holidays. It would be a great start!
