We chose the room with the balcony and Mountain View. A truly spectacular outlook to enjoy the stunning sunrise and sunset. The staff were hospitable and the house elegantly furnished with a relaxed atmosphere and an honestly bar.

Lovely stay - room, location, breakfast, host was all very good. Would recommend Maison d' Ail to friends and family anytime. Close to town with really nice mountain views it is a very convenient establishment. Was allowed early check-in and had all required amenities. Good wifi (even at the pool!) made catching up on life easy.

Beautiful room with a small balcony overlooking the pool and with wonderful views of the mountains surrounding Franschhoek. An ideal base for exploring the winelands. Clive and his team were fantastic, with very good breakfasts on the terrace a highlight. Safe and secure in a quiet neighbourhood about a ten minute walk away from the centre of the village. It’s a bit of a hill when you’re walking back, but we’ll worth it. Hopefully we’ll be back

On the side of the top end of town this guesthouse is spacious and very comfortable. The bedding is great with comfortable pillows. The towels are fresh and fluffy . The breakfast was very good was good and was Served with a smile. The parking is safe. Best coffee.

I had a very comfortable garden room with own convenient entrance. It is well equipped with a huge TV. Excellent breakfast and they had some seriously good muffins. The waiting staff was telepathic and got my second cup of coffee without even asking. It is owner managed.

We have stayed with Clive a number of years and regard as a ‘ home way from home’ Very clean with big light rooms and comfortable sitting areas. Outside spaces provide plenty of sunbathing opportunities but the pool can be a tad cold Great breakfast and lovely staff

My sister and I stayed at Maison d'Ail following a recommendation from a group of friends who had stayed there a few years prior; I was not disappointed. The room was extremely comfortable and cosy, breakfast was delicious and the communal areas were a delight. I will definitely return.

staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Owner was very flexible and lenient when we had a mixup with the booking. Evey thing worked out great! A nice short walk to wine trams and breakfast was always ready early.
