The Ivy Apartments are widely celebrated for their immaculate and roomy accommodations, which are enhanced by contemporary amenities that contribute to a comfortable stay. While the hotel's affordability and strategic location near main attractions are popular among guests, some have voiced concerns about noise and the absence of an elevator.
The attentive service provided by the staff has garnered compliments, as has the hotel's modern and tasteful decor. The convenience of having full cooking facilities in the rooms is also a highlight for many travelers.

We arrived at the Ivy apartment to be told that although we had booked the apartment we had only entered one guest instead of 2 so were required to pay an extra £120 for our 2 night stay, our error so that was fine but just wanted to mention it for future guests.
The 2 bed penthouse apartment was huge and all the towels , linen etc were high quality although the glasses and cups in the kitchenette cupboards was mismatched.
The secure parking area was excellent and the staff were very friendly.
The load shedding was a pain as it was quite muggy and the air con would go on and off throughout the night but this is out of their control unless they could install generators.
The position of the apartments is excellent .

Dear Wendyt221, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at The Ivy Apartments. We’re delighted that you enjoyed the spaciousness of the penthouse apartment, the high-quality linens, secure parking, and our central location. It’s also wonderful to hear that our team made you feel welcome! We appreciate your mention of the booking detail, and we’ll ensure future guests are more aware of the process to avoid any surprises. Your feedback regarding the kitchenette items is noted, and we’ll certainly look into improving this. Unfortunately, load shedding is a challenge across South Africa, and we understand how it can be inconvenient, especially in warmer weather. We are always exploring ways to enhance guest comfort despite these challenges. We truly value your insights and hope to welcome you back for an even better stay in the future! Best regards,

We stayed at the beginning of October and just missed the floods that hit the area. There was only 2 of us but the apartment actually would accommodate 4 as there were 2 double bedrooms. The apartment was beautiful. Stylishly decorated, immaculate and had every facility you could need. The kitchen was fully equipped if you wanted to cook and even had a washing machine. There were complementary drinks alcoholic and soft as well as snacks available in the reception/ lounge area. All the staff were friendly . Welcoming and helpful. Short 3 min walk to shops and restaurants And 8 mins to the wine tram. Lovely place to stay

We stayed 2 nights in August in franschoek at The Ivy . The apartment is very tastefully decorated and goes over 2 floors . We were lucky and the days were very warm At night it was Mega cold . The apartment is already cooling down , but it is super equipped. There are 2 air conditioners you can turn on and electric blankets in bed. If you're still freezing, there's another heater. So it got really chubby warm . We felt very comfortable as you can reach everything on foot. There is a sweet bakery nearby and even a barber for the gentlemen. The cars are safely housed. We really felt very comfortable

Great location just off the main street and close to all the shops. Excellent under cover parking with fantastic security. The rooms are very spacious with all the facilities you could ask for including full cooking facilities. Rarely do you find facilities of this standard so close to town and at a very affordable price. Would highly recommend to anyone. The reception staff were very welcoming and answered all our questions. From four very happy Kiwis who just love Franschhoek - a hidden gem.

We stayed in apartment number 3 for 2 nights, the apartment was immaculate with high quality furnishings, the location is superb in the heart of Franschhoek and close to all the great restaurant bars and cafes. The on-site manager Wellington was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and he was always happy to give helpful tips and answer any questions. There is ample secure car parking available. The reception has a nice seating lounge area where you can enjoy a choice of complimentary alcoholic (spirits, wine and beer) or soft drinks upto 7pm each day. We will definitely stay in these apartments again because of the convenient location and excellent friendly service from manager Wellington.

I booked this apartment with a certain amount of trepidation, feeling sure the apartment wouldn't be as lovely as the pictures! My expectations were shattered in the most delightful way! The apartment was fabulous! What you see on the website(s) is exactly what you get! Gowns were provided, fluffy towels, hair dryer, tea, coffee and milk and essential charging facilities. The location is nice and central too! Check in was seamless and friendly! A thoroughly delightful experience!

Stayed here, in Apartment 8, for two nights as part of our month-long tour in South Africa. Our apartment was fabulous; twin bedroom & bathroom downstairs & “master” bedroom with en suite on a mezzanine floor. The living space downstairs is well p,Anne’s with everything that you’ll need for a few days’ stay. The complex also provides secure car parking and communal outside space including a small pool.
The apartments are well placed within Franschhoek, something like 5 minutes’ walk from the Wine Tram terminal. There is a cafe on the corner of the street, open for breakfast, lunch & probably dinner. Looking wider, there are a range of cafes & restaurants on the Main Street through town, together with a couple of supermarkets, so all in all, everything you need for a self catering stay, and of course, there’s no shortage of wines supplies around town.

We have stayed at the Ivy a number of times and think it is one of the best places we've had the pleasure of enjoying in all our travels through the Western Cape. It is luxurious, comfortable, spacious, and exceptionally clean. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and the kitchen is fantastic if you do wish to dine in; but the Ivy's location allows you to walk to any of the superb restaurants in town. It is also close to Cape Town, False Bay, and the Cape of Good Hope letting you venture out during the day and return in the afternoon to enjoy your stay. Highly, highly recommended! (pet friendly too...)

Simply a wonderful place to stay. We booked The Ivy for 3 nights as part of a 3 week family holiday to South Africa. We stayed in apartment 6 and the decor was beauiful. It’s inviting, warm and beautiful. The staff were wonderful - so helpful and you can clearly see they take pride in their work. A real asset. The car park was great and we never moved it for the whole time. It was a chill out place. The location is perfect - you are literally on the Main Street- walkable to everything. Franschhoek is simply a stunning place to stay. It’s safe, upmarket, has fabulous shops, restaurants, chocolate shops and of course is surrounded by wonderful vineyards. I would stay in The Ivy again and I would say it’s suitable for families and honeymooners!!

We had a lovely two night stay at The Ivy apartments. Wellington was particularly welcoming. Complimentary drinks on arrival. Modern interior, fixtures and fittings. Beautiful smelling hand wash. Probably not a suitable dwelling for young children. Pool towels were provided, although the pool was more of a ‘dip’ pool rather than a swimming pool. Close to all amenities, bars and restaurants. Great spot for going on the wine Trams. Definitely recommend. We will be back.
