La Petite Dauphine is a picturesque estate set among vineyards, olive groves and fruit orchards. The historic working fruit and wine farm has superior accommodation on offer. An archway formed by cypresses, white roses and agapanthus lines the long driveway and leads to manicured lawns and garden beds bursting with colour and fragrance. The Nine Suites are superbly decorated with views over dams, sun-kissed orchards, vineyards and the breathtaking Franschhoek mountains. Guests will be pampered with soft gowns and fluffy towels, other amenities are also provided to make the stay truly comfortable. Suites are climate controlled, with under tile heating, heated towel and wood-burning fireplaces for chilly winter nights. Additional features include complimentary WiFi, Nespresso Coffee Makers and Blu Ray DVD machines. Breakfasts are served at the Bistro BonBon, a 200-year-old restored wine cellar, set amongst old oak trees. The Bistro is also open for lunch and intimate dinners on selected evenings with a menu featuring seasonal ingredients. The Studio at La Petite Dauphine is the perfect location for intimate weddings the farm is able to host. Veruska's Wine Bar at La Petite Dauphine exudes a relaxed rustic ambience within exposed brick walls and offers exclusive wine tastings for neighbouring Haut Espoir Wines estate.

We loved everything about our stay at La Petite Dauphine. We went with our family of 5 (3 children in their 20's). My husband and I stayed in Suite 9 which was lovely. Suites 7, 8 and 9 are located a little farther away from the hotel reception and restaurant than the other suites. Our children shared the 2 bedroom Suite 6. Accommodations are beautiful, private and the landscape all around is spectacular. The hotel's restaurant, Cafe Bon Bon, is fantastic. The only slight disappointment we had was that when one of our kids was not feeling well one late afternoon and we decided we wanted to have dinner at the cafe that night rather then venture into downtown Franschhoek. We were told that the restaurant was booked. When we explained the situation and asked if we could just pick up "take out food" as the kids' room had a round table we could eat at, they were not willing to accommodate that request. I do feel that a hotel should try to accommodate that kind of request from hotel guests. The restaurant is frequented by non-hotel guests and I do feel that they should make the hotel guests a priority -- even at the last minute. Having said that, in every other respect, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Other than that, we had an amazing stay and will highly recommend the hotel to any friends visiting the Winelands.

Our family stay in this beautiful farm was unforgettable. We loved the room number 6 with the two bedrooms and two bathrooms and can recommend it right away. You can relax 100%. Don´t miss this place while your stay in Franschchoek! And if you are not staying there, we also can recommend the breakfast. Unfortunately because of COVID-19 the restaurant was closed for dinner. Next time we will be happy to taste also a great dinner there. We hope to be back! Thank you for everything!

My husband and I moved into suite 8 for 4 days. I could have stayed 4 weeks it was so wonderful.

La Petite Dauphine is a beautiful estate set in vineyards and olive groves. The owners, Gert and Louis live in a house in the grounds and they have 9 magnificent houses in the grounds which make up their B & B. Also set in the grounds is a restaurant Le Bon Bon where you can eat all your meals throughout the day. Breakfast is included.

The gardens are totally magnificent with exquisite sculptures dotted about. In fact the owners collect art and in all the houses they display some of the collection.

Our suite 8 consisted of a beautiful bedroom with lounge, large bathroom with shower and bath, 2 sinks and gorgeous deck with our very own plunge pool. One parks the car outside the little house. I could have starred at the view all
day.

In the main house JP or T attend to every needs together with Gert and Louis’s 2 well behaved golden retrievers and the gorgeous Benjy who is affectionate. This all contributes in making you feel you are at home.

La petite Dauphine is gated with full security. It is 5 mins drive from the high street and in the heart of all attractions.

I would highly recommend this wonderful place and look forward to visiting again very soon.

I really wish I could write a review about my wedding at La Petite Dauphine, that we had been planning since January of last year. Unfortunately, the wine farm owners made sure of it that we would have to find a new venue.

Our original agreement for our low key, minimal wedding had an agreement of just a minimum spend on food and beverage at the restaurant on the farm. When the restaurant owners were forced out because of COVID, our contract was nullified and we went to negotiate with Gert and Louis.

In around August 2020, we met with the owners and had our menu tasting. At the time, we were given the impression that there was nothing wrong with the original contract and that any changes would be minimal. However, after 4 months of no contact from them, I reached out to see what was going on as our wedding is scheduled for April 2021 and I've already had several international guests booking their trips, including my dad booking his room at La Petite Dauphine.

With no explanation or interest in discussion to come to an agreeable arrangement that benefits all parties involved, Gert and Louis tacked on an additional R100,000 venue hire fee. As an event coordinator, I have done considerable market research of wedding pricing at wine farms in Franschhoek, and this fee is something I've only seen at venues like Grande Provence, Babylonstoren, Vrede en Lust, and other extravagant, impeccable wedding venues. It is absurd and laughable to presume this rate is reasonable at La Petite Dauphine, that it can only leave me believing that this was personal for who knows why as a deliberate move to force us to find another venue with less than 11 weeks notice.

Beware. These owners are kind to your face and vicious behind your back. In reference to us, they were overheard saying "don't bother working with them for their wedding, they can't afford it." Not that it's any of their business, but my dad is paying for the wedding. My dad that booked his room in one of their luxury suites for 3 nights.

Needless to say, we've found another (and more stunning) venue with far kinder and more accommodating owners, and my dad has canceled his room at La Petite Dauphine.

Shame. I had really looked forward to having my wedding there, but this is turning out to be a blessing in disguise.

We stayed in suite 9 for two nights as part of our honeymoon and have nothing but nice things to say about our stay. The location was great, about 3-4 minute drive to the downtown area. The staff were all pleasant, from JP to the restaurant staff to the security guard. We ate breakfast at Bon Bon bistro and everything we ate/drank was delicious. Our room was very cozy and serene.

JP was also nice enough to accommodate our request to check out a bit later due to our midnight flight back home, allowing us to enjoy the property a bit more.

Would highly recommend this property and our only regret is not staying longer!

The little bistro called Bon Bon bistro attached to La petite Dauphine is spectacular. It's like a little bit of France set in Franschhoek. The scenery is magnificent with the back drop of mountains and set in a beautiful garden.
I had the best Caprese salad I had ever tasted. All the food was delicious. I cannot recommend it highly enough. A must if you are visiting Franschhoek.
It's situated just outside the town towards Excelsior.i would recommend booking online.

We had a wonderful 24-hour stay at this rustic, comfortable and luxurious venue. The farm is very well kept and our unit was immaculate. Staff are friendly and efficient. We stayed in Suite no.1. It was very peaceful and you do not feel like you are right on top of your neighbour. The pool was warm and clean and only a few steps away. Probably our only complaint is that there were strange noises coming from the roof for most of the night, I can only assume this is because it was a tin roof.
We had a good breakfast and the cappuccino's were great. I would not hesitate to recommend La Petite Dauphine and it met all my expectations.

Very nice place in a beautiful location. Very well done. Exquisite decor. The location is good, but just as the name suggests, it's a bit outside down without option of walking into town. The rooms are spacious and the country-style decor is very nice, and elegant.

The breakfast is good, but just too much limits. No variety or flexibility. You get a sense that there's a trust issue between management and staff and that translates into poor service from their site.

Take a look at the pictures on the website. Very nice, right? It's way better. A rare find, somewhere that under promises and over delivers. It's private, secluded, calm and beautiful. Over the years the wine route has become Disneyfied witness Babylonstoren. Don't hesitate, stay at La Petite Dauphine.
