As everyone has said, this place is simply perfect.
We stayed for 3 nights in a garden terrace room and everything, from the warm welcome, to the gorgeous well kept gardens, the design of the room, the cleanliness, the little extra touches and the central location (and of course the beautiful pool) was unbeatable, and at around £500 brilliant value too. We didn’t want to leave!

Upon arrival, we were informed that we had been upgraded to a fancier suite, which was pretty great (to say the least). Our balcony had a fantastic view over the mountains and of the sunrise in the morning. Definitely one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on! The room (rather, the one bedroom flat) was perfectly clean and well equipped with a Nespresso machine, complimentary bottle of wine and a fireplace, already packed with wood and firelighters.

The manager, Lucky, was a great host, very friendly and helpful, with an answer to everything we asked him.

I highly recommend taking the bicycles out for a spin, we had great fun exploring the town on them. The garden area is perfect for a picnic or relaxing afternoon drink. We made use of the pool too and had a very refreshing dip.

All in all, we had a fantastic weekend and I would really recommend staying here.

This is the second time that we stayed at this lovely place. We can not recommend it high enough. The interior design of both the communal spaces and the rooms breathes comfort, style and quality. Everything is extremely well thought of. The location is perfect in the sense that one stays in the village which has some lovely restaurants within walking distance yet at the same time, the house is really well separated from the main road. The quality of the construction and design materials used in the house is top notch. Will we come back ? Definitely, beyond doubt. Thank you !

We had a modern ground floor garden suite and can just say: it was amazing! A large room - larger than usually in Franschhoek, modern style, but not too much either, fully equipped with what is needed, including a coffee machine and (for winter) a fire place. The whole surrounding of the Guesthouse like the garden and pool area is very well maintained and we really enjoyed the wintersun on our private patio. No breakfast was served (not sure if that is due to corona) but since we had rusks and coffee in the room, we simply walked to any of the many small coffee shops just down the road. It was an amazing - actually a PERFECT stay! THANK YOU!

My wife and I stayed at Maison Cabriere for 4 nights. We had booked a garden view room and really didn't expect much. When taken to our room we were blown away by the size of our room and the quality of the furnishings. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Bi-folding patio doors opened on to a furnished terrace with a view of very pretty gardens that was a great place to relax. The pool area had a 15m pool and was furnished with very comfortable sun loungers.

Maison Cabriere is a 100m walk to the centre of town but we were never disturbed by any noise. The only minor issue was that no breakfast is served at the premises, but with cafes so close that caused little inconvenience.

How would I sum up Maison Cabriere; STUNNING!

Maison Cabriere - Boutique Suites is really a wonderful place in Franschhoek. It offers luxury, coziness, and warmth. On arrival, we were welcomed by beautifully manicured gardens, so breath-taking. The host, Eveline helped us get settled. She made us feel at home and we instantly felt relaxed. Internally, our suite was spacious with every fragment of it elegantly designed – the best we’ve seen. As it was a very cold day, the hearth in front of a beautiful antique fireplace had kept the place warm. Everything about this place was well thought through, from the heated bathroom floors, modern bathtub, great white tiles in the shower, other essentials and of course Netflix which allowed us to catch up on some of our favourite shows. The doors which lead to the balcony are perfectly placed to respond and admire the stunning pool, gardens, and mountain views. It felt like we were in our own world.

Maison Cabriere is exceptional! Everything about our stay was perfect. The whole property is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and no detail is overlooked. It’s on a nice quiet street but only 2 min walk to the main street with the shops & restaurants. Our suite (Le Godin) was beautiful -separate sitting room with selection of tea & coffee, wood burning stove, fridge. Beds were very comfy with high quality bed linens and the bathroom was huge and perfectly appointed. Our suite also had a huge private terrace overlooking the pool and gardens.

And the hosts, Eveline and Alexander, couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. They recommended local restaurants and wineries, organised taxis and helped with anything we needed to make our stay perfect. I would never stay anywhere else in Franschhoek! I’d give 10 stars if it was possible! Our whole trip was amazing, but Maison Cabriere is a highlight!

We spent our anniversary weekend in Franschhoek and found this gem of a place, with it’s lush private garden, luxuriously appointed suites and beautiful common areas. Even though it was fully booked it never feels crowded as there are only 6 suites on the property. The scandi style of decoration and care taken in every part of the design as well as the garden was a highlight and we will return.

We also travelled with our 3 year old and it was secluded enough for her to explore and enjoy the pool. It is really a luxurious retreat for adults so we could all enjoy the space.

It has the feel of a luxe private home away from home. It was the highlight of our stay in Franshhoek.

So pleased we discovered this little gem! Right in the middle of beautiful Franschhoek village, yet so quiet. (Ok, I admit F is not the biggest town). Two streets down from the main street the guesthouse is set in a lush, beautiful garden. Only six rooms, all spacious with their own terrace or patio. The pool area is also big enough to give you the feeling of privacy. The decor is quite modern, minimalistic and Scandic. There’s also a big lounge/kitchen area with an honesty bar, with a rather good selection of wines.
Free bikes for those who want to explore the vineyards in the village on two wheels.

But what makes this guesthouse stand out is all the little details. A bottle of wine waiting for you in the room when you arrive (this may be since we were there at Christmas time?), complementary water in the rooms (and to my delight; marshmallows! :)), nibbels being served by the pool in the afternoon, a bottle of bubbles with a nice card from the team on New Years Eve and stuff like that, which makes you feel like a special guest. Staff and owner are great!

Have already booked our next stay! So no further recommendation needed, I guess.

This is a beautifully styled property both inside and out and exudes a sense of calm throughout. Every detail has been thought about from the garden greenery in the rooms, local organic toiletries and the quality of the tea, coffee and snacks. The gardens and pool area are perfect for relaxing and it’s just minutes away from the Main Street. Evelyn is a wonderful host, so helpful and friendly and we enjoyed chatting to her. We’d stay again and thoroughly recommend. Book early, we could only get two nights.

Hi there, Maison Cabrière | Boutique Suites is a suite-only accommodation, but there are many good breakfast options just a stroll away from the suite.
