We stayed at Molopo Kalahari Lodge en route to Kgalagadi National Park. The accommodation is provided in self standing chalets under shade trees. The chalets are comfortable and clean though somewhat basic. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the lodge - both well prepared. In fact, the 400g rump steak was definitely not a gram less than 400 and exceptionally...

Lovely stay. Very friendly staff. Food excellent and accommodation also excellent. Beautiful environment. Will recommend this accommodation to anyone. We had a braai on our second night and the kitchen provided us with all the necessary "tools" for the braai as well as salads. Excellent service once more.

Given the fact that we were just after the high season we were offered a choice between a camp site and a chalet. Not only was the offer attractive we also got excellent and friendly service. Both breakfast and diner were of very good quality and we could enjoy the tranquil moments of a weekend

Arrived just after a heatwave and it was only plus 42! It had been around 50 before we arrived. We were lucky to get a room with a little splash pool just outside our door. Spent most of the hottest hours in there. Good food in the restaurant and very friendly staff. The rooms are nice with DSTV, aircon and...

Arrived to find out, that we did not have a booking at the lodge even after we confirmed with e-mail our booking. Something about faulty telephone lines connecting to another lodge. Luckily after 10 mins a bungalow was available for us to stay the night. The bungalows are quite close to each other, noisy bungalow neighbour had their television on...

We had 3 nights in a Rondevel of Molopo Kalahari Lodge and enjoyed our stay. Food was reasonable, definitely large portions and a very friendly service. For convenience we will stay next time within the park to reduce the driving between this lodge and the park. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay and the friendly service.

Very beautiful setting. Relatively close to Kalahari entrance. The food is world class. And the staff very friendly. Good value for money. We stayed in the tented camp part. The tents are very well equipped, fridge and kettle. The showers are unique and open air... well sort off the roof is open ;) all in all a great stay. One...

We were provisionally booked in Ashkam coming from Kimberley by road via Upington, but the Town is small and do not offer much. Finalise shopping in Upington rather, especially wood for a braai as the prices for fire wood escalate tremendously the further north you go to Kgalagadi. (In Upington we paid R14, at Molopo Lodge already R24 or more...

Stayed over here on the way to the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The accommodation is comfortable; good facilities (large shower, mini fridge, coffee and tea, and firm bed). The room temperature remains constant due to the thatch roof. There was no need to use the air-conditioner (which did not seem to work anyway). If planning to have your meals at the...

Coming from Red Sands lodge the previous evening what a difference , staff who are passionate about their lodge no attention or request is to much to ask , the atmosphere is wow , the food really great and possibly the best burger in the Kalahari , if you are passing this way , treat yourself !
