Twee Rivieren is at the southern entrance of Kgalagadi. We have stayed here many times but see it as a transit camp - iether going further north or exiting south. Having said that, we have seen some of the best wildlife sighting right here -...More

This restcamp is right at the entrance, so easy to get to, especially if you are arriving a bit late. Very well set up and nice chalets and lovely to sit out in the early morning with a cup of tea, listening to the bush...More

This is a very busy camping area where the camping sites are so close to each other you hear every syllable of your neighbor's conversation! Also, because the sites are not individually allocated, you have to get there early to choose your site before the...More

This is possibly the best place to start if you're thinking of going on a trip to the park. Right at the main entrance to the gate, it has the most well equipped shop in the park with all the essentials (including ice cream!!). It...More

Just about. You should also be able to buy wifi tokens there. I didn't at TR but did at Mata Mata and Nossob and it worked there albeit very slow.

Hi. We travel to KTP at the end of September, staying at Twee Rivieren, Mata Mata and Kalahari tented camp. Are there laundry facilities at any of these camps? Do the shops at these camps stock water, charcoal, firewood, fruit & vegetables, beer, cooldrinks, bread and ice. Many thanks for your advice.

We were there for a week and never saw a bat and we were not told to take precautions from them.
