We were stuck in a dark apartment at the Upstairs back of the lodge it was like going back in time to the 1970s. The walls were a brown colour which made it even darker with small windows which I think had never been washed also since the 70s. It was basic. It stank of smoke, we booked for a non smoking room, it stank. There was NO free internet as requested, what resorts have no free wifi these days?? It’s a must. Load shedding hit on Sunday night, which wasn’t a problem as they had a generator. Monday night load shedding we are sitting in the dark with not a soul around, phoned the emergency number and the manager said but it’s load shedding, what ?? What happened to the generator ? I said you are NOT leaving us in the dark so under duress they put it on for us. I don’t know where the problem is if it’s management or the owners but there is no initiative towards customer service Positives. We had a wonder guy called James were nothing was too much trouble he even arranged our last evening braai a little gem The food was very nice, breakfast doesn’t take an age but was lovely I would suggest that they get someone in to repaint No2 at least and relook at their non smoking policy especially in the bar. And drag themselves into the 2020’s start with the internet it’s a list

Our tour group camped her twice during our short tour from Cape Town to Kgalagadi as the Lodge offers both Rooms and Camping facilities. The sites are well taken care of with nice shade and (mostly)grass. Private ablutions are an added bonus. Well maintained and clean. There is a convenience store right next to the gate as well as a Bottle store, but this was closed due to lockdown. Only issue was the busy road right on the other side of the wall, but not really so bad if you use earplugs. Very close to the Falls, a must visit if you are in the area. Great for a night or two.

The lodge is about 2km from the national park's entrance. The camp site was very nice, each Campsite has its own ablution which is a nice touch as there is no need to share with other campers. The Campsite offers nice shaded spots which will be great in the summer months. Staff in the lodge was very helpful and friendly. They can assist with laundry facilities which was a great bonus.
