We are a family of 8 that visited. We booked the cottage and two double rooms. The road to the lodge is not great, but can be reach with a normal car. The lodge has beautiful views. Lots of opportunity. The host was super friendly which made up for the initial struggle with hot water. The rooms are clean and neat. However there is no heaters or air-cons. The extra blankets in the cupboards were smelling moldy.
Overall not be and was a good experience.

Wow! What a magical destination tucked in the hills of Magoebaskloof! As soon as you enter, you're greeted by vistas of the great Tzaneen lake in the horizon. Johannes, the host is so friendly and extremely hospitable. The Cottages are so cozy and on clear nights, the stars dazzle and dance all around. If you love Views, Forests, Nature and comfortable getaways this place is for you!

Spent far to short a time there!
Magnificent homestead with excellent finishes.
All the necessitates are catered for!
Beautiful fire place. The men loved the snooker table!
The gardens and the view are OUT OF THIS WORLD!
Tzaneen dam forms part of the picturesque views!
Highly recommended. Friendly staff and owners.

The steps might be a problem for some visitors. Some of the bedrooms are at the top with very steeps steps. Take this in consideration when booking!

We were in the area for the berry festival. The place is secluded in the mountains with spectacular views, personalized service and value for money. The place is very spacious and has fireplaces all over. Suitable for family or romantic getaway. We will definitely go back.

We were a group of 8 people who stayed over on Saturday 10th August 2019. The suites are so well appointed and very clean and fresh, The furniture and fittings are of the highest quality. We all agreed that it was well worth the visit and we all want to return for a longer stay. I've seen some comments about the road, We are a bunch of motorbike riders who arrived after sunset in the rain and mist. No problem at all and even more so for cars.

We stayed here for two nights. The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean, but cold in the evening (no heater was provided).
The lodge is located at the escarpment and provides great views down the Letaba valley.
We experienced also two spectacular sunrises as the lodge faces east.
This lodge has various options of accommodation, ideal for families or a group of friends.
Convenient stopover between Kruger Park and Gauteng.

We spent a weekend with 5 other couples at this gem of a lodge. Our hosts, Franz and Mirjam were outstanding and accommodating. The photo's don't do the lodge any justice. The views are incredible and the place exudes peace and tranquility. We went for an easy walk in the forest nearby and also had lunch in the local village, Haernetsburg which was very tasty. I will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

A fantastic weekender location between Haenertsburg and Tzaneen in the Magoebaskloof, with stunning views from a comfortable tranquil location and a short distance to a range of activities from the food, craft beer and gin delights, craft and art markets, fishing, hiking and easier forest walking, scorpion searching, canopy tours, bird watching, or just relaxing around and in the extensive outdoor swimming pool and gardens on the property located with a genuine panoramic view across George's Valley.
Excellent hosts with much information and insight to the surrounds.
A good tonic for a weekend getaway and break.

With a group of friends we had a fantastic gin tasting weekend. The lodge is an ideal weekend away from Gauteng. The lodge is beautifully situated above George's Valley with stunning view of Tzaneen down in the valley.
