Great lodge with beautiful views of the forest, mountains and the Tzaneen dam. Friendly staff who are very welcoming and always helpful. Tzaneen mall is only 9km away. Lovely place to relax and unwind, while listening to the sounds of the birds.

We decided to go on a short relaxing break to Limpopo with my friend. We booked two nights at Mashutti Country Lodge a very nice place to stay at an affordable price. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable with a lush tropical garden and beautiful scenery. Staff members were friendly and helpful, overall it's a good place to stay. I recommend it!

We had a good stay at this lodge over New Years' eve. greeted by the monkeys just relaxing on the driveway. check-in was abreeze and were shown to our large room. The room had a good view of the small swimming pool outside and a walk around the premise is also very nice. One drawback though is the lack of a hiking trails which the lady said is under development. But if you are looking for a place to relax in the tranquility of the mountains then this is the place.

Perched 8 kms in the mountains above Tzaneen, this lodge is set in attractive tropical grounds with fantastic views. Our large room had a veranda overlooking the small swimming pool and mountains beyond. It was very quiet and peaceful and cooler than the town below. Very relaxing. There was a well cooked breakfast with a lot of choice. We also ate in the dining room in the evening. Meals had to be ordered by 7.30 as the kitchen closed at 8, which was a bit early for us. However, we would definitely stay here again.

We've visited Mashutti for the second time, reception and welcome are excellent. Rooms are very clean and spacy (big). Breakfast is superb, an overload of choices ... Even when we checked out, Mark gaves as some pointers and hints for our next stay in Mashutti.

I have stayed in this lodge a few times now and the lodge has a peaceful and relaxing surrounding with stunning views of the Tzaneen town and Dam . The lodge provides free Wifi and though the lodge is about 8 km up the hill from Tzaneen the mobile phone signal is very good .The lodge is situated in a huge plot and has abundant trees and bird life . We had both supper and breakfast at the lodge and being vegetarian I was well catered for and really enjoyed the meals .Mark really knows how to treat his guests and was very helpful, his staff are very friendly .Our rooms were large ,clean and I slept comfortably during my short stay .

We recently visitied Mashutti Lodge with a large group of scientists during a fieldtrip in Limpopo province, and though the stay was brief had a very pleasant time. The staff at Mashutti were very helpful and also flexible to small changes that are unavoidable when travelling with a group. The lodge itself is wonderfully situated with a great view - so despite this being work it certainly did not feel so - they also gave some good advice to visit local sights for the the few people who stayed on a few days

Easy to reach, strategically sited, magnificent views and position, genuinly friendly and reliable people, comfortable, idyllic, peaceful, in contact with nature - be prepare to familiarize with shimangos and birds -, wi-fi capability, all comforts, food is good. Absolutely the first choice for any tourist or local wanting a diversion (parties, marriages, celebrations etc). I recommend it to any international tourist as base where to stay in Mopani, and is at 1,5 hours from KNP, either for short or for long time, very convenient both..

I was impressed with this 3 star hotel with 5 star rooms. We spent a night here for a pool side wedding. The palm, avocado and other trees make you fall in love with the place. It's so quiet and a perfect hideaway from the buzzing city life. And my favourite part is that you have reliable WiFi on top of this Limpopo mountain lodge. Loved it!
