Rooms are spacey and luxurious, the view from terrrace towards the mountains was breathtaking. Quality of dinner and breakfast outstanding (gourmet quality). So all excellent. The only downside is the pricing, both accomodation and meals are overpriced (but for one night not a big deal. All in all highly recommended.

I spent a few nights at Kings Walden in December 2013. The gardens are magnificent and there is an incredible view from the front. I recomment Kings Walden if you are looking for a relaxed environment where you can just unwind. The restaurant is great too, so you don't even have to leave - just make sure you make reservations!...

We just went up here (we read good reviews!) and spend two nigths at this hotel. Great views, nice rooms, friendly staff and owner. The food was good. The best thing however was the view with the tree. You can't miss it! The only thing we didn't like is that we had to pay for every cup of rooibos tea...

We spend one night at Kings Walden, as a stop-over between safari lodges, and regretted not to have a bit more time to discover this nice place. From the terrace you have a marvellous view, the gardens are really nice, and we enjoyed to relax in the shade with a cold drink after the long drive. Rooms are nice, with...

This is a stunning property with large, airy rooms, romantic fireplace in the bedroom and great personalized service. The gardens are tranquil and exquisitely plain but lush and full, lots of water features and little paths. You expect fairies at the next turn. The dinner was amazing - so complete in it's idea and creation. Starter was camembert covered avo,...

Living locally, I often visit this place in the afternoons with a couple of friends, to relax and enjoy a cold drink in its wonderful landscaped garden that looks over an incredible view. Its just a totally refined spot to unwind. The gardens are beautiful and its a pleasure just to walk around them. There are plenty of hidden fountains...

This was our first accomodation in South Africa after arriving at Joburg Airport. The location and the house itself are incredibly beautiful and we started the evening with having a sundowner and enjoying the view into the valley and on the surrounding hills/mountains. Our room was one of the biggest on our 3 weeks trip in SA and had a...

We stayed at this wonderfull location for two nights. When we drove up the entrance path we were wondering where we would end up. The view from the terrace was really breathtaking! We had roomnumber 6 with a view to the pool. A walk through the wellkept Garden is really advisable. It is beautifull! The room is big and has...

We really enjoyed our stay! We were only there for 1 night. Because it was our honeymoon, our bed was decorated with flowers. Beautiful! And thanks for this. Very nice staff. Excellent when you want a quiet place to stay. There are only a few rooms, so place enough for every one.
