We arrived pretty late and had not booked, but were offered a camping spot with private ablution facilities. Pitching 3 tens on a relatively small patch of grass at an angle was no real problem. The private facilities consisted of a really tiny kitchen, bath with shower and a toilet. Supper at the restaurant was great with really friendly staff....

Our family of 6x stayed in one of their self-catering chalets on an overnight stay on our way to Kruger. Whilst it is by no means terrible, it did not quite meet our expectations. We usually stay at the De Stihl hotel on the hill and feel it offers more value for money. Overall the unit was quite neat and...

Stayed here on a stop over for business stop over, it is what it is, a little difficult to find the chalets in the dark as well as moving from parking area to door is rather tricky, Beds are super comfy so a good sleep was had!

The camping area at this popular stop over was quite full over the long weekend which is usually not our scene. But the general atmosphere was friendly and happy and we quite enjoyed our stay. You have to plan visits to the only ablutions as it is quite a walk, but everything else was as it should be. A drive...

Hi 476francois, Thank you for reviewing us. Great to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. When you do camp at Gariep again try book the Luxury campsites which will be a bit more private and each having their own private ablution. Dam wall visit is so beautiful especially now with the dam level above 90%. Kind Regards,

We spent the night here en-route to Cape Town from Johannesburg. This is a good halfway stop when travelling by road. The units are clean and comfortable. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit which had 2 bedrooms and comfortably slept 3 people. Although the unit can sleep 5 people comfortably. We were spoilt with great views over the full...

Good Day Renier F, Thank you for your review. Great to hear that you chose Forever Gariep for a peaceful stop-over on your journey. It is such a beautiful picture watching over the largest dam in S.A.. Please do again stop for another stay and see if you can book one of our newly refurbished luxury units (re-opened this past...

Stopped over here for a night in February 2017. Great place, clean ablution facilities. Sites are grassed with own braai facility. Electrical and water point. Would definitely spend a long weekend here.

Ideal for a stop over on your way to Cape Town. We are more hotel type people, so for us this was totally out of our comfort zone. We stayed in one of the self catering units, but had dinner in the resort restaurant. The food was a disappointment. Not recommended at all.

We booked this resort as a stopover on our trip from Johannesburg to Prince Albert in the Klein Karoo. At the booking we were told that there were only two chalets left as this resort is popular. The cost was quoted as R1300 per night for two people. The booking was handled by the resort efficiently. Upon arrival and registration...

We visited the resort this past weekend and our first evening (Friday) was lovely. The 6 sleeper chalet was well equipped and neat. Saturday however people arrived at the two chalets opposite us. From the moment they got there, the noise levels shot through the roof. People were pouring out the houses (which I assume was only meant to house...

The venue is excellent and very clean and tidy.
