Well, it's official folks! The Moreys got too big for their britches! In February 2020, my wife and I had booked our traditional 3-night stay for the last week of June. Of course, nobody anticipated the pandemic. The Blue Palms offered to roll over our 2020 reservation to June 2021. They did not require a deposit- but rather a $49.95 "holding fee." Fast-forward to April 2021..... We were contacted by the Blue Palms staff about the "new" reservation. Ultimately, we decided to cancel...and they lost a loyal customer since 2007 over a lousy holding fee! I asked to have the "holding fee" returned along with our cancellation. Instead, the booking manager immediately got "on the defense" about their policy. First, I was expressly told that I had agreed for them to hold this fee regardless of cancellation. I contested that was not true and pointed out that I am a returning customer since 2007 (i.e. "can you work with us, here?") I was then told that they were open last season at 80% capacity and that the carryover to this year was offered as a "courtesy." The booking representative needed an answer today so the room can be put up again for the season (presumably at 100% capacity). I made the "mistake" of inquiring about the current COVID procedures for the motel and for the piers. The agent's tone immediately changed and grew more and more snippy, implying the following: "If you don't like it, don't come. There are others waiting to take your place....". The bottom line to the folks at Blue Plams: If $50 means that much to you, keep it. You've just lost a faithful customer of 14 years over it! I don't need to be told / berated / lectured to (in so many words) that I am replaceable- only to have them keep a portion of my money anyway! It's not the amount of money that's upsetting, it's the ATTITUDE! It seems that the general business attitude in Wildwood goes something like this: "We'll entice you with COVID- friendly precautions, signs, and literature. On paper, we'll make every effort to help you feel safe and confident in making your reservation- having an expectation that certain social distancing, masking, and sanitizing protocols will be followed. In reality, the hard truth is that we're OPEN....Really OPEN.....More like 100% OPEN! If you don't like it, don't come and maybe you don't belong here! Oh, and we have your money anyway. You're replaceable, you know!" This is not the Wildwood that I know and love! Sad....just plain SAD!

Our family of 4 stayed at the Blue Palms in Wildwood NJ from aug 31st to Sept 4. staff must be writing the positive reviews because we didnt have much peace there. Day 1:we checked in. Day staff was pleasant and helpful. the rooms looked updated so we went out for the rest of the night. Later came back, washed up & getting ready for bed and realize the floors arent clean, our feet were getting black without shoes on. the blanket on our queen bed had a 5 inch stain and my teens beds were sandy. We hadnt gone to the beach yet! Day2: Realize theres no safe.Took them 2days to install a safe but was inappropriately installed in a night table you could carry away. How stupid is that?they make you sign a waiver stating theyre not responsible for personal property and then intentionally do this??So we wouldn’t use the safe. .. There was no mirror or hooks anywhere in the front bedroom. Refrigerator was inconsistent and building ice in the back. Day3:The dirty floors are still not cleaned and now the tub drain is broken and water wont go down. So we cant shower..Spoke Politely to night staff about the surmounting issues but instead Man there responded to me by yelling, nasty, aggressively and disrespectful,.and clearly he has no respect for women. Disgraceful behavior. Day4:This morning we call again about the dirty floors and broken tub & wait but decided to give up waiting. Come back to room later that afternoon to find they fixed the tub drain but the floor was barely cleaned. they mopped the one traffic area. Still dirt, sand and hair in bathroom and both bedrooms... we couldnt sleep each night because the single flat bed sheet covering each mattress was too short and kept coming off the mattresses. There was so much sand in the kids bunk beds my teens couldnt sleep. •the stay & play option with discounted tickets to Moreys piers we were hoping for as stated in their website was unavailable. •The continental breakfast (wrapped muffins and bagels? not available. •Need clean towels each day? Theres a shortage and they may bring them hours later. Want a terrible stay, no sleep, in a place that cant provide basic standards in cleaning or hospitality, with staff who disrespects and yells at women??? this is your place!

I'm so very sorry that FarahSemena had a terrible experience at the Blue Palms. She reported 4 items that she was unhappy with at midnight of her second night. All 4 issues were taken care of the next day. I'm very sorry we fell short of her expectations. The Blue Palms is rated as "Excellent" on all the different review sites by most of our customers. The Blue Palms offers 2 heated pools. Complimentary bicycle usage, a fun fire pit, complementary Beach chairs and boogie boards very clean rooms .....all right across the street from the center of the beach and the boardwalk.... please give us a call and book a room soon!

We booked this relatively last minute for a 3 day trip with our 2 kids and could not have asked for more. We were concerned due to COVID about cleanliness and the hotel was spotless. Rooms were updated and clean (bathrooms were outdated but spotless) and single use toilitries were provided for use. Hand sanitizer was present everywhere and the staff was always visible cleaning and sanitizing things and were very friendly and helpful. Location could not have been better as with 2 kids it was wonderful not to have to drive to go to the beach or boardwalk. There is a diner and an Ice Cream shop right across the street as well as the Waterpark. We were worried about noise but it was not bad at all and felt very family oriented. The hotel has 2 pools as well as a small kids pool, 24hr coffee/ice/vending and bbqs to use with picnic tables spread through out the property. We loved the fire pit and the free bikes/beach chairs/boogie boards for use. We will DEFINITELY be coming back here!!!

Attention all Hotel owners and managers This is how you operate a custo service business !! I was booked at this hotel that is owned and operated by a very well known and highly respected family in the Wildwoods. I had checked in and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Something rare to find during the summer season anywhere. The family owns several companies in the area. And each hotel is geared to a certain clientele. Which I did not know. I just knew the brand name so I assumed that they would all be of the same caliber. Well the property I booked is there “family style” hotel. Being a single gay man this was not the right fit for me. Once I got to my room the internet didn’t work. I went back to the front office and spoke to Jackie. She was amazing. Most people would have just said oh I don’t know what to do. She took the time to walk back to the room with me to see what the issue might have been. She then saw that it was a bigger issue. She said she would get her manager Zack to help and take a look. I went back to the front desk and meet with him. Not only was he amazingly polite and professional he is kind. He grabbed an extra router just in case as we went back to the room. He switched out the new router and it still didn’t work. He was going to offer me a discount for the inconvenience. But I explained to him that I was not satisfied with the whole property. I want to be VERY CLEAR there is nothing wrong with this place. It’s clean and professional and great location for families that want easy access to the boardwalk. It was just not to my liking. So Zack went above and beyond this time again. He was able to find me a room at one of their other properties that he knew I would be happy with that I had stayed at before. He didn’t have to do this. He made many phone calls and did a lot of work to get me to a place that I would be happy with. HE WENT WAY BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY!! The entire front office staff Zack, Jackie and Joanne were beyond professional and understanding. They are what every hotel staff should act like and treat people. So many people and properties around the Wildwoods could learn a lesson from this organization!!
