Although we understand the hotel is undergoing a renovation at this time, that is no excuse for the filth we encountered in the hallways and our room 6/22/22. The room carpet was hideously stained, and the electric plug next to the bed was dangerously unusable.
This hotel demands additional deposit from guests on check-in. Deposit amount blocked is not credited back to guests card account on check out. This creates a massive problem for a guest with limitation of credit in his card account.
Dear Wyndham, Thank you for allowing us to “secure” our 2 bed room for us during our travels. We found your well chewed piece of caramel hotel on Google by sorting from cheapest to least expensive and yours was at the top of the list, just not sure which list it was. I appreciate that you went out of your way to provide the Custom-Designed, dappled curtains by Ironed&Drier. The A/C… provides extra airflow with the spacing between the unit and the mounting box. I’ll add a star for being conscious of the environment and reducing the amount of carpet used in the rooms. I’m stuck looking at the beautiful mirror in the bathroom, almost as much as the mirror is stuck to the wall. I know you asked us to pardon your dust as the property is going under “renovations”, whether that be actual updates or a slow and controlled demolition, you’re trying Asbestos you can. So I’ll let my $191 room slide.… hopefully you won’t.…
This hotel is close to EWR and reasonably priced but it was a mistake. The service from emails to front desk to shuttle was atrocious. The hotel is old and falling apart, moderately clean but still have you the urge to get out of there asap!
If it's June/July 2022... do not book or stay at this hotel... it is under a major renovation and almost all services are either not available or very basic... plumbing is an issue so good luck with the showers... it's also run-down, the front desk are a joke... I've had better service at a McDonald's - we already knew something was wrong when we drove in, we tried to like it... went to our room and on our way, we passed holes in the ceilings, torn carpet, broken down doors... so we hightailed it out of there. When we told front desk, we can't stay here, it doesn't look safe at all... their nonchalant reply was leave your keycards on the desk... and so we did. No apologies, not even an acknowledgement.
Needed a hotel room after EWR flight cancellation. This hotel is quite rundown and dingy. Nothing felt clean. I took a shower immediately after arriving home, washed my clothes and wiped down my luggage. This hotel reminded me why I never use Wyndham Hotel Chain.
I'm embarrassed to say that I spent $160 on a room at this hotel. The thermostat was set at 85 degrees, when it was 80 degrees outside. Half of the light bulbs in the bathroom were burnt out. One of the mattresses in the room was warped and very uncomfortable. I would have slept on the floor if the room wasn't so disgusting! Employees yelling profanities at each other in the entrance. Avoid this hotel!
The previous person who said this place should be condemned said it right. By the time they spend the money to correct all that this places needs, even if just to a level as essential for safety, it would be more financially viable to raze it to the ground and start again. When I asked if I could have a room that didn’t lead to the many poor reviews that came before (showing the TripAdvisor screen to them), especially about the bed bugs, they said “yeah, it’s pretty bad, but it’ll be good once done”. This lead the last drop of hope that this wasn’t going to be the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at diminish. Thank goodness I only had to endure less than 12hrs here. Did get to use the fitness room before showering in water I’m not clear if made me more or less clean than I started and it was no surprise that both elliptical trainer and stepper were very broken yet still available for use. It stinks of smoke along the second floor corridor heading to the back of the hotel, near where the staff and laundry rooms are positioned. Very glad there wasn’t a restaurant to eat in, but there is a convenience store on site and it does look well stocked with the basics, including cleaning products. Shame the hotel don’t purchase them for use. The worst part about the stay….was the noise!! Wasn’t sure if dodgy AC units or that the room was next door to a lorry park where at volume you can hear a constant drone of engines. Even wearing ear plugs to sleep and with a pillow over my head, it did little to reduce the volume or stop the vibrations that come with such noise. And finally to the couple that were in the room next door who came in to argue late in the night. Adding a serious level of volume to the TV was almost considerate as an effort to drown you out, but clearly you don’t need to hide tearing strips off your partner who booked this hotel; we were all fooled. Wish I’d slept in the Terminal.…
$175 , no fridge, no microwave. Lobby looks like renovating. Shuttle service slow at pick up, hard to get anyone on the phone. Room adequate for $175, overpriced. Close to airport is a plus $100 security deposit requirement.
Stayed here one night during a layover from a flight, was suppose to be a shuttle, at time I stayed there was no shuttle. Paid with an airline voucher but they still charged the room to my credit card along with $100 damage deposit in which I have not received back. The room was dirty, stains on bedsheets and towels. I stayed here on a Saturday night and there was people high on drugs on the property and a big party there as well. They have a restaurant onsite, do not eat here, took over an hour to get some food and it was bad could not eat it. The phone is never answered to talk to anyone about the credit card charges, they are running a scam at this hotel so avoid at all cost, better to stay at the airport.
