4 reasons for my bad review: 1. The woman at the front desk (possibly the owner- older woman w grey hair) threatened me with charges for damages immediately when I arrived. 2. We were given a room in which the toilet violently sprays when flushed, although the hotel was empty. 3. THIS IS THE KICKER! When we returned from skiing, we had lost our room key and asked for another. She tried to refuse us re-entry into our room- MEANING SHE WOULD KEEP OUR POSESSIONS that were left inside (including our ipads, laptops, and thousands of dollars in skincare products!) and not allow us to spend the night in the room I paid for. WHY??? She claimed we smelled like we smoked marijuana while we were out. Even if that were true, she has no authority over what guests do outside of the hotel and that wouldn't give her the right to steal from us or kick us out no matter how you slice it! When I got visibly angry, she gave us the key because she was so clearly wrong, but it was disturbing that she tried. 4. In the morning she waited outside of our door for a while, more than an hour before checkout. W....T....F.... It was a bazaar experience I don't want to have again. BY GOING HERE YOU ARE TAKING A RISK. This lady who runs the place is eager to accuse guests of misconduct and charge fees. I look very young for my age, and maybe she doesn't trust young people, which is understandable, but that doesn't excuse her behavior. I was not rude and I'm not the kind of person who gives scummy vibes- I'm literally an ivy league graduate- not that she should treat anyone that way, regardless of how they look or speak.…
Try rooms near 207 (e.g. 206, 208 etc) since they look out on the parking lot and beyond that a pleasant vista. First room we were shown literally looked out on a huge rock formation a few feet from the window, and so all you could see from your window was the face of rock. The rooms on the second floor looking towards the road are a little above basic. The breakfast is basic but if you like croissants you are in luck. Overall a good value. Not great and not terrible. Acceptable.
overall not a place i would return to. unpleasent odor in bathroom. room was clean and acceptable. the breakfast area was small, not many people can eat same time. the sausage i could not eat, did not look appetizing. clean eating area just not roomy not what would expect to eat breakfast
Stayed here for a night while attending a wedding at Grand Cascades Lodge, Crystal Springs. It is about a mile straight down the road. Very convenient! This facility is clean, staff was pleasant, check-in easy and quick, bathrooms a bit small but large sink and counter area outside in room, bed very comfortable, quiet and picturesque location. Breakfast was ready at 6:30 AM and consisted of a nice variety of hot and cold foods. Waffles, eggs, sausage patties, cereals, yogurts, bagels, pastries and juices and coffee. Would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area or for those attending functions and events at Crystal Springs. Very economical.
Not a 5 Star Hotel, but it is very good. Staff was very friendly, it includes free breakfast every day (scrambled eggs, self made wafgles6, sausage, cereals, yogurt, juices, fruit, toast. BUT they have probably the best coffee of many places I've stayed in. Very reasonable rates and well worth the stop over
