We loved our stay at Apple Valley Inn and will definitely return! The atmosphere is cozy, I felt so relaxed, and it was a perfect weekend away! Lauren and Leigh were gracious hosts - warm and attentive! I felt at ease from moment one! I highly recommend Apple Valley Inn! Thank you ladies for a wonderful weekend! Anthony Mendola
We stayed at the Apple Valley Inn for four nights when we recently visited for our friend’s wedding. We just loved this B&B - from the warm welcome by owners Lauren and Lee to the thoughtful decorations and amazing breakfasts! Our room was beautifully appointed and the remote controlled gas fireplace in our room was great. And to have a chocolate shop with the most delicious salted caramels attached next door was another plus. Highly recommended!
I stayed at Apple Valley Inn mid-way through a 2-day hike on the Appalachian Trail. My room was beautiful and the balcony is a peaceful spot to rest your legs and look at the tops of the willows along the stream outside. Lauren and Leigh woke up early to make me a delicious breakfast (including waffles and bacon, among many other things) so I could leave early and even dropped me off at the trailhead. By the way, the Inn is conveniently mid-way along a nice hike from High Point New Jersey to Greenwood Lake in New York, which passes through some famous wetland areas including the Pochuck Boardwalk.
I have now stayed there twice, first with my boyfriend then with my mom. Both experiences have been absolutely amazing!! The first time I stayed in the granny smith room, so adorable with green apple theme througout the room. Loved that the sink was sep from the restroom. Bed and pillows were amazing. They even offer turn down service, which is nice to come back to when you get in late. The breakfast the next morning was so filling and tasteful (poppyseed scones, quiche, fruit bowl, french toast and sausage the first time!!). Lauren and Leigh make you feel so welcome, like you have met before. The second time I brought my mom and we stayed on the 3rd floor in the cutest lil room. We are both 5 feet so the shorter ceiling was not an issue for us. We loved it up there, secluded from everyone else and there is a sitting area with couch if you like to read. When I came back they asked me how my bf was doing by name, very impressive. There are 2 balconies with rocking chairs, a beautiful bridge with a heavy stream below and sitting out there is very relaxing. And of course, cannot forget the candy shoppe they have on site. Amazing candy apples, assorted chocs and old school candy. 5***** for sure!! Can't wait to book there again in the fall!…
That is how we would describe our entire weekend stay at this lovely Bed and Breakfast! From the moment we arrived, till the time we left, Lauren and Leigh went above and beyond with their hospitality. What warm and friendly hosts! You won’t find any more gracious hosts anywhere. All the bedrooms are super cute and are well equipped with anything you might need. This was our first stay, but we have already booked our next one. Of course, we enjoyed the Candy Shoppe they own next door too! What an assortment of yummy treats! The breakfast each morning was delicious and served with such joy. We really feel like we’ve found a treasure! Can’t wait to go back! Dan and Joy
