Gorgeous renovated room, amazing ocean views, fire pit, beach yard with chairs to lounge, but completely ruined with the constant noise....car alarm blaring when we arrived for over an hour and my hubby had to go down to the office to try and deal with getting the issue

The rooms are updated and clean but definitely your typical motel style setup with room access along a shared walkway on each level. I could see this being a loud corridor depending on neighbors from stay to stay. Easy access to local spots and walking distance to all. The

We stayed here for 3 days over Thanksgiving 2018. Sure it was cold but sunny. Great room, great view, great bed, pillow and sheets. Housekeeping is VERY THOROUGH! The Rusty Nail is next door and Congress Hall is within walking distance.

We stayed here for 4 nights in July. We're familiar with the Cape Resorts brand, having stayed for many summers at Congress Hall and before that the Virginia Hotel. This year we waited too long to book and Congress Hall was unavailable, so we stayed at this sister property.

I do not agree at all. It was constant running children, rolling luggage pounding up steps and along walkway along with noise until after 11pm from rusty nail. I wish people would have been more honest about the noise prior to my stay

Hello...Is there heat in the rooms?
The AC units do both heat and cool; yes.

No breakfast. We didn’t have a kitchenette in our room. They have a restaurant there that we got a free kids meal coupon for but, we there are much better places to eat in town

That is true. We paid first year or two when they opened around $280 per night. We went back to Congress Hall for winters and now summers again because the price per room is not that much more and your get much better accommodations. Beach Shack did renovate but still overpriced motel masking as a beach front resort. Not quite there yet. Imo.

This was our first time visiting this hotel. However the bathroom appeared to be updated with new vanity and sink. The floor tile was updated. I did not care for the lower, smaller toilet. They installed a glass panel half way across the tub/shower. The water tended to splash on the floor. we placed a towel on the floor to catch the moisture. The design for the bathroom could have been better. The room was very clean. Hope I have been of help to you.
