Sometimes travel plans go awry. That’s what happened to my trip to the Sea Crest Inn. I have a daughter who is quite ill and I needed a break. My college girlfriends and I planned a trip to Cape May so that we could catch up and I could get a bit of a break. On June 2, I booked two rooms at the Sea Crest Inn on Booking.com. Planning for this trip became my respite. On the day we were to arrive at the Sea Crest Inn, I received a call from John, from the Sea Crest Inn that he did not have rooms for us. I must admit, I cried. I needed this trip so badly. Most innkeepers could have just said, “sorry, nothing I can do about it.” But not John. He apologized then told me that he would work hard to resolve this issue. After some time, he called and offered a home that he or the Inn owns that is located one block from the beach and around the corner from the hotel. Unfortunately, it was not available to first night of our stay. I was still upset but I was very relieved that two nights would happen. John continued to search for rooms for us for the first night of our stay. In the interim, I booked two rooms in Atlantic City which worked out fine. Not Cape May, but what can you do. When we arrived in Cape May, John could not have been more generous. The home was lovely and just what we needed. Unexpected things happen with travel. Sometimes you meet a person like John who works hard to resolve a problem and your vacation is saved. When I first received the call from John, I thought that I would never book at the Sea Crest Inn again. Instead, my girlfriends and I will be returning to the Sea Crest Inn with our husbands next year. Bravo John!…
We met friends at the Seacrest last week for a 3 night stay. John at the front desk (I believe the owner) was so pleasant and helpful from the first moment I spoke to him a few months ago to make the reservation. We did not expect to much as we new this was an older hotel. Well, much to our surprise this is a place that we will tell others about and return to ourselves. Hotel crowd was mostly adults which was nice. Pool was not crowded as most chose the beach across the street. The rooms were extremely clean and the staff were all super friendly. There have been many upgrades and the ocean view was a nice PLUS!!! We will be back. Thank you JOHN!!!
My wife and I just enjoyed five great days at the Sea Crest Inn. The property is well maintained, the room was very nice, and the location is perfect. The beach is directly across the street. The entire staff at the property are very friendly and accommodating. This is why we keep returning every summer for a relaxing getaway.
Room 301 was spacious and clean, with a great view overlooking the ocean. We loved the Sea Crest Inn and its good location--close to everything, and right across the street from the beach. The hotel is a throwback to a different time--clean, great service, with a nice pool. We were very happy to have found it!
The Sea Crest Inn NEVER disappoints!!! Always clean, always friendly staff and the accommodations are as comfy as home. I love the ocean views and enjoy watching dolphins from our balcony. The location is perfect, walkable and a bit less crowded. We 100% recommend Sea Crest Inn!!! Best in Town!!!
