I liked this motel. We have now stayed here on two separate visits. Yes, the room is tiny and dated. Yes the bathroom is also tiny. BUT the room was clean, spotless actually. There was no smell. Room size is not that important to me when I am only there to sleep and shower. Staff

The first thing you will notice if you book a room on the second level is the outside stairs have dirty old carpet in need of replacement. The room itself had an old stale smell to it. Rooms were outdated, with old mismatched furniture, and the bathroom was old and tiny. The room

This is a place where the rate of the room determines your stay. If it's one of the cheapest hotels in the area when you look, grab a room. If not, try somewhere else. If I went again, I wouldn't pay more than $100 a night for this room.

Pros:
- Location... prime spot if you

It was a travel day and we arrived very late, just before closing. Staff was pleasant. The room wasn't what I expected - very dated and heard the traffic from the road. We were there less than 12 hours and left for the beautiful Kancamagus Highway.

Is it possible to leave luggage with the hotel at check out to be collected later that day? We will want to spend the extra day exploring, but without suitcases! Thanks!
I'm sure that wouldn't be an issue, they are very nice people and seem to have plenty of room in the office area. Exploring, we just did the Lost River took 2-1/2 hours at a slow pace. Best place for breakfast is Flapjacks!! The Black Mt. Burger is right across the street from the hotel, Excellent! And the hotel bar is very good too.

Is there a size limit on the dogs allowed to stay here? We would like to bring our well behaved 50 lb lab mix to stay with us.
I would suggest calling the lodge and ask them. I was in a motorcycle group and we didn't have any dogs nor did I see any there.
