My husband and I needed a getaway for a few days while work was being done in our house. Knowing that it was likely every property in Maine and nearby NH would be booked, I was surprised, and then delighted, to find The Lodge at Jackson Village. We had a king room with jacuzzi tub and electric fireplace on the first floor, back of the hotel. Full hot breakfast included. Outdoor pool, a lovely river a short walk down the hill, beautiful flower beds, the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. Cindy ran the place with efficiency, professionalism, and friendliness. She did it all: staffed the front desk, cooked breakfast, made coffee, and answered innumerable questions. She promised to follow up on the brand of the mattress. The Lodge is within a mile of 2 very good restaurants, and in close proximity to White Mountains activities. We avoided downtown North Conway at all costs; no interest in shopping, and traffic was a nightmare. We would definitely stay again, but in the off-season. The town was just too congested for us, but that's a given in high season.

This was our first stay at The Lodge at Jackson Village in NH. We were very satisfied, and in fact at checkout we made a reservation to stay again in the fall. The room was very clean and quiet with a balcony facing the pretty grounds in the back. Having the breakfast included was convenient. It is a great facility for families with children.

The Indian gentleman owner works hard keeping the gardens/grounds beautiful. He and his wife are wonderful people who truly care about their motel....and it IS a motel but don't let that put you off....it's a great value. The room with a nice deck was spacious and pleasant, with an electric fireplace for ambiance. Swimming pool is clean, and there is even a tennis court with free racquets and balls. $89 was a great value but still worth doing when summer price increases.

Staying here for 3 nights and I didn't know what to expect for $69 per night. But it exceeded expectations: faux fireplace for ambiance, deck with views of Iron mountain and Ellis River, friendly staff, very clean, decent breakfast, spacious room, and close to places to order take out. And Jackson, NH is a quintessential quaint New England village just 10 minutes from Mount Washington. Great value choice!!!

I’ve stayed here several times over the years while hiking before but there are new owners now. Check in took some time since I know the area and hotel and they wanted to give me a room that was not acceptable to me so he had me wait for the manager to come back….this took about 15 minutes. The front desk clerk was difficult to understand but the manager changed my room to a much better choice facing the back yard area on the 1st floor. There is lots of construction in the area and when I was there, the road in front was being resurfaced so lots of noise, dust, etc and not a pleasant view. The back area is pleasant but unfortunately, the new owners were doing a lot of upgrades and right on my outside wall so could not sit out on the patio in the daytime and very loud banging. (would have been considerate if they waited when the room would not be occupied to do that type of work). Room was fairly clean but no housekeeping while I was there (3 nights) and when I asked at the front desk just to empty my trash they said sure but never did so I just put it in the hallway. Breakfast was very sparse as most hotels are due to the covid – ate elsewhere. I accidently left two jersey shirts hanging in the open closet that is hidden when the bathroom door is open. Definitely my fault but when I realized two days later, I called and they knew nothing about it and nothing in lost/found etc. They told me no one had stayed in the room and only their staff had been in there. No matter how many discussions I had with them they could not account for the shirts. They said they asked around and no one knew a thing and to even suggest maybe someone walking by the open room may have taken them. I travel a great deal and have left things behind on occasion but have always had them found and returned – until now. Sad but done. I can not recommend this hotel and will not be back – there are better choices in the area. TIP- 1st floor rooms can be very noisy if you have heavy footed guests staying above your room.
