The motel has a clean and refreshing pool with a shallow and deep end with pool toys available. There is a cool robot that cleans it each early morning. There is a good playground and Webber BBQs (charcoal) available. Mattresses are new and the carpet is new in the motel rooms. There is an extensive under 5s play area with fisher price type outside toys. It is so close to Storyland less than an hour from Santa’s village. The decor is retro and the motel is literally 100 years old but there was ongoing landscaping and our room was clean. My parents had a 2 room cottage which was small and sweet. The TV worked fine. AC unit was old but worked well too.

This is a horrible place to stay in and one of the worst experiences I've had. We were taking our son to Storyland and thought this would be convenient. The minute we walked into the room, we saw black dots on the wall. They were bugs. We were DISGUSTED. Then, we opened the sheet and saw more bugs. The room looked like it was from the 80's. The tv was not working nor was the wifi. We went right to the manager and she made it sound like a favor that she would give us an "upgrade" to a cabin. She assured us that housekeeping had just cleaned the room, but how is that possible if there were bugs everywhere. The cabin we were "upgraded" to was extremely small and again, NO wifi and NO working tv. The bathroom was gross and did not even have a sink; you had to wash your hands in the kitchenette. We left immediately after telling the manager about our horrible experience and endured a 3 hour ride home rather than staying in this absolutely gross place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

We took an impromptu trip around New England and booked this place last minute. We booked a motel room, but upgraded to a cottage at check in (cottage 16). Such a great place! Nice couple and adorable little toddler, so friendly and helpful. The husband was constantly walking around to see if anyone needed anything, and cleaning up toys and stuff they had out for kids (ping pong table, wiffle balls). Each room/cottage has a charcoal Weber grill, they even had a hanging basket of flowers at each one! It was obvious these folks care about the place. They told us that the wife’s grandparents bought it in the 70, her parents ran it from the 90s til early 00s, then sold it. It changed hands a few times, then they bought it and just closed in March. OH and the husband wrote a book called A Moose with a Uke, which I bought to bring home for my daughter who plays the ukulele!! Serendipity. I bought it and he offered to sign it to her, so nice. Will definitely stay here again if we’re in the area!! I don’t usually leave reviews so I wasn’t thinking and didn’t take any photos. So here’s photos of a mama moose and her two calves we saw on the way there from Mt Washington, and then this amazing moth I found in the parking lot at Perry’s under our truck.

Thank you to Perry's Motel & Cottages for a delightful long weekend in your sweet cottage. Fresh, clean, all the cozy comforts of home. Beds & Bedding offered a wonderful night's rest. Lots of thick towels, plenty of toiletries. If you are looking for... *a quiet place to sit on your porch, relax, & read the day away, with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine just inside at your own cute kitchen *a place to relax with your toddlers *a spot where you can bbq & picnic without the hassle of tents or a camper ...This is the Place! I hated to see the getaway come to a close. BUT, I'll be back! Be sure to stop in the office to purchase your copy of "A Moose With a Uke" with its coloring book, a fun woodland story which will encourage kids to seek out the adventure.
