I don't understand the positive reviews of this place! very run down and dingy. First thing you notice when you walk in is a smelly carpet. On our last day the ceiling in the bathroom caved in and poured water from the upstairs bathroom. They are lucky no one was seriously hurt by the falling ceiling tiles. when I called the front desk I was told that since I was checking out that day and wasn't hurt what was the problem?? very rude desk clerk, stocky set, short blond gray hair. She should be fired for that type of unacceptable customer service. had to put up a fuss to get comped one night of the two nights we stayed. should have been comped for the full stay! disgusting place. won't go again at all and won't recommend under any circumstance..
I booked a room at this hotel very very last minute. I drove into the parking lot and walked in to see if they had any vacancies. We had reservations at another place and when we drove into the parking lot my wife and I looked at each other and said no way are we staying there. It made Bates Motel look welcoming. I walked up to the front desk and the guy behind the desk was busy but very friendly. I asked if he had any rooms. He said he had a room with 2 queen size beds. I said I'll take it. When he told me the price, I couldn't believe how reasonable it was. My wife and I have a policy of not staying at places that have exterior doors. I was happy to hear and see how big this resort is and it has interior rooms. The room was very clean and the beds were the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on. Though we didn't eat on site, we did have some drinks in the bar and listened to a local bad. I have to say this hotel is probably in my top 5 of hotels I've ever stayed at.…
Everything about our stay at the Town and Country was outstanding!!! The food and service are both top notch. Our room was clean, huge and super comfy. The pool and hot tub were clean and very nice. The setting is spectacular-mountains and greenery. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We will surely be back and will tell others-if you want a terrific get-away, check out Town and Country!!!!
I stayed 2 nights: Sunday was VERY quiet, Monday not so much...... there were lots of work vehicles in the parking lot Tuesday morning, and a fair amount of noise with them. This is a fairly large hotel with a dining room and an indoor swimming pool. I didn't use either. My room was large, the bed was comfortable, and I would stay here again.
I stayed here to get an early start on a hike. It was great for that, a step above the usual motel in NH. Quiet, clean, rooms that were a bit updated. lots of all terrain vehicles in parking lot so many guests but still quiet.
