The negative reviews for this hotel are completely unjustified! My family and I had an excellent stay! Absolutely ZERO complaints! The hotel was very clean, as was the room. The lobby smelt nice and fresh. Staff was incredibly accommodating and pleasant! GREAT location! Off the beaten path! Perfect! All facilities were closed (as can be expected). But looks like it'll be a hot spot for relaxation when COVID passes! Even the hot tub is enclosed in it's own secluded little room! Very inviting!! Regarding those negative reviews, these people should cut a little slack. Its clearly evident the hotel is having some major upgrades done. There were 2 construction vans on site during our entire duration (4 nights). Chandler - Thank you for an excellent vacation! Looking forward to coming back!…
This hotel has a pool, sauna, rec room, library, and nice bar, and a nice lounge with multiple fireplaces and grouped seating areas. All things that sound really fun for apres ski. Unfortunately, it's all closed due to COVID! I understand why and don't fault them for it. I'd love to visit again once COVID is over. Right now, the hotel is so quiet it makes me nervous. They have made an effort to serve breakfast, though it is all pre-packaged foods and fruit. Not bad, except no coffee or tea except in the rooms. The Belvita biscuits make good snacks on the slopes. The rooms are large. They have a large fully equipped bathroom with a tub. The king sized bed was two twins combined together at the base and two twin mattresses with a joint mattress pad. Sounds bad, but it was really comfortable. I honestly would not have noticed if I had not read it in another review. Furnishings are a bit sparse for the size of the room. Instead of the one chair in the corner, they could add a small dining table and some chairs. The room had a fridge and coffee maker but no microwave. Internet is fairly good. Not many fade-outs or spinning cursors. For work, as long as you don't have to use a really heavy duty program remotely, it is fine. Video is OK. I did try connecting a Kindle Fire to the TV's HDMI port and couldn't get the TV to recognize it. The TV is pretty large but given the size of the room it is a little small and hard to see from the bed. Location of the hotel is great if you want to ski at Bretton Woods, Cannon, or Loon. It is really too far for Waterville Valley since it is north of Woodstock. I did ski Waterville Valley because I pre-bought the ticket but wouldn't do that again when staying at this location. Finally, you really need to use a GPS to find the hotel, especially at night. A sign exists on 302 but it is hard to spot even during the day. Without GPS I would have driven right past the hotel, probably several times. It is in a residential area and has a house between it and the road. It seems like it is in the middle of nowhere, but in reality Bethlehem is about a mile further and Littleton is 3 miles back, so you have many restaurants to choose from (my GPS says 99+ which seems incredible).…
Looks can be very deceiving, pulling in we thought this going to be a great hotel, looked clean and new on the outside and in the lobby. Boy, were we wrong. I thought it was a little weird when we walking to our room that we could hear people thru almost every door we passed down the hall, but we checked in after 9 pm and I figured people must just getting in as well. Again first impression of our room was good, but that did not last long. The flooring in the entire room was that laminated fake wood, looked good, but we could hear every step in the room above us. Sorry people below us, no doubt you were going thru the same. Very very noisy place, we could hear conversations and TVs from all sides but the window. The next morning in the full light when we opened the shades you see all around the window was peeling and falling apart, unfortunately this was the case throughout the room, even some of the walls had a wave to them. Just poor maintenance. The staff was another issue, very rude and poorly trained, just stay away.…
We stayed here the first weekend in February for skiing at Cannon and Bretton Woods which were both about 20 minutes from this beautiful hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable with updated decor. The hotel is pet friendly and the general manager was a pleasure to deal with. We will return here for our next trip to NH.
This hotel is very pretty and looks great on the surface. However, there were some false advertisements that need to be addressed. First off, the king size bed is not actually a king, it’s two twins pushed together. Because the bed was on wheels the beds would frequently separate leaving an awkward gap in between. It would also roll away from the wall/headboard. We called and asked if there was a table and chairs in the room to eat at and they said yes. There was actually only a desk with one chair. A continental breakfast was advertised—we were aware it was different because of covid, but it was still very weak. Prepackaged mini pastries and juice—not even bagels or muffins. My biggest complaint was the walls were thin and the staff was loud. Both nights we were there were loud people talking in the hallway before 8am. The first morning we went out to say something and found it was the staff and the owner screaming across the hallways—at 7AM!! We said something and they apologized and left. But the same thing occurred the next morning! This is unprofessional and needs to be addressed. Housekeeping was doing the same thing as they were coming around making the rooms. Our intent was to just have a weekend in the hotel room relaxing and watching movies. The loud noise and bed situation made this less than ideal.…
