The Tahoe experience generations of families have been returning to at the Pine Cone Resort since the 1950s. Five charming chalet style bungalows sit on the mountainside underneath towering sierra pines. Heated seasonal 40 foot pool and year-round outdoor hot tub. Stay connected with free high speed wireless internet. Any time, any where: in your room, by the pool, out on the deck-- just bring a laptop with a wireless card and you're good to go! Many of our units are dog-friendly - so your four-legged friend is welcome too! Each apartment has a wood-burning fireplace, kitchenette, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. The bedrooms have both a King or Queen and Twin bed, and the living rooms all have a double sofa bed and twin bed, so you can sleep up to six people. The Pine Cone is an oasis of quiet, cool summer breezes in Zephyr Cove on the south east side of Lake Tahoe, less than a mile from the beach, and just 2-3 miles to the casinos and Heavenly Ski Gondola in South Lake Tahoe and Stateline.

This is our second season staying at Pine Cone. I could not be happier. The family owned site is spotlessly maintained .Bathrooms and laundry room located next to the tremendous swimming pool are clean and convenient./ Full time groundskeepers are always trimming, cutting grass or grading the road .I am not the easiest to please at times but the owners are very polite and knowledgeable. I have a large site for my 38 foot trailer plenty of room separating my site from my neighbors .There is also a shed and a 30 foot deck! I mean what more could I ask for? My Wi-Fi rarely fails me and we get a pretty decent amount of cable to watch when we are not around the fire pit. Wood is available from the office....delivered! The best thing? It is quiet and peaceful. i have not been bothered by any loud visitors. I have stayed at other places where My neighbors were very loud so this is the best quality for me.It is located about 2 or 3 miles from route 9 which has everything you could possibly want or need. This IS a resort compared to other places we have stayed. Highly recommended

Great location and just a quick little drive to Stateline and Heavenly village. The host was very friendly and extremely accommodating. The room was cozy with a cabin-like feel and decor. Dog friendly with dog run attached to the room was a nice perk. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend it to anyone traveling and staying in the area.

The resort is the true cabin experience: everything you need without the complicated frills. I came with my partner and had a blast, but this place has a lot of units so it's great for groups as well. Perfectly located on the Nevada side, you are 5 mins from the casinos or alpine hiking trails. Most importantly, this place is family run and the service is great. Thanks, Robert!

This was a large family gathering. We picked this house because we were told it was handicap assessable for our 90 year old grandmothers. This is the main reason for staying here, there were other rentals, but did not state ADHC. At the last minute one of our Grandmothers could not make the trip. Thank goodness for the house had nothing handicap accessible except a cane in one of the closets. The entrance was concrete stairs of different sizes. The middle bathroom was a bathtub with out grab bars and the toilets were extremely low. At the entrance of the house was a sign that states, “Life is made of choices. Take your shoes of or scrub the floors”. Another sign said to remove your shoes or pay for a cleaning the carpets. Floors were disgusting. The carpet was so old throw rugs were thrown in certain areas. The hot tub that I was told was ready for our stay was locked. The indoor shuffle board was not working. The banister on the stairway was wrapped in a coated wire and tie wraps. The beds, bathrooms, kitchen were clean. The picture showing the outdoor furniture is completely false. The pool table is old with patch rip. There are multiple leather couches and chairs . The fire place states Do Not Use. Upon arrival we were all very disappointed! But being the family we are, we made the best of it and still had a great time. I’m planning on asking for our cleaning deposit back, but?..

Horrible management first I called and you could barely hear the guy also they seem very uninterested in having you book a stay there. I then requested a 3 night stay on air b&b and they ended up declining it because “the dates were not available” so then they updated the dates and I requested it another time (from the dates that were listed as available) and they reply with petty short replies saying those dates are still not available, which is horrible customer service. As a business in 2021 you really need to step up your game, not everyone wants to give out their card information through the phone. Seems like they don’t like having anyone book their stay through air b&b so they should take the post down. They mention nothing about calling on the air b&b post and even then I wouldn’t give them a single penny to stay there because of the horrible customer service they provide.

Let me start by saying, it takes little to please me. What I got here was very, very little.
These cabins (apartments) were probably built in the 50s. I’m cool with that. They have probably been updated once… like in the 70s.
I checked in after hours (about 5:30 PM) so a key was left waiting for me. We hen I got to my room 317a. I found a strange room. Clean, but run down. I went to use the restroom. Lights would not turn on. Tried the power in the bedroom and then there either. I called the front desk and got a message about calling from an out of town area code. So I walked to the front office. No one was available. There was an 800 number available to call for emergencies. I left two separate messages over three hours. It has now been four hours and no one has called me back and they still have no power in half of the unit.
Turn on both of the TVs only to find out that there is no cable or satellite. So if I had brought some DVDs I could watch something there… Who travels with DVDs?
I went out to grab food and brought something home to prepare in the kitchenette, which is Supposedly fully furnished. Only to find out that the salad I prepared had no silverware to eat it with. Mind you, there is a ken crusher on the wall full knife set blender colander measuring cups tongs spatulas cookware etc. but no silverware.
I’m at a loss and want a refund.

The internet is pretty terrible. We were given 2 different wifi names and passwords and neither of them exist when you search for wifi, and the wifi connected to the tv is awful and trying to stream movies sucks. Bring dvd's, if you even own them. And on top of that, the "after hours" phone number doesnt work, no one is picking up your call if you need help with something

Great rooms, fantastic atmosphere, always clean and close to all things nature and if you want, Casinos. Very peaceful, yet child friendly with the pool, jacuzzi and ping pong tables. Also has BBQ available. Just a great location. My adult children now book their own vacations there for weekend getaways (with their kids!). I highly recommend to anyone looking for their own relaxing vacation.

My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights in the resort during 2010 Xmas. we had a reasonable price of $120 per night.

we had the 'building' furthest away from the highway, so there wasn't any noise problem,
we decided to make our own food, and they had everything we needed, pans, pots, plates, silverware etc. we just brought the ingredients.
there was a small tv (around 22'') with a dvd player, but thats not why we were there. so it didnt bother us.

The shower and bathroom were in new condition, and the bedroom was nice and comfy.
there is also an outside hot tub that we didnt use.

the ladies in the reception were very nice, but except from getting our keys when we got there, we had not contact with them.

the place is 5 minutes north from the CA border, so its not far, but not walking distance.

Quaint and comfortable suite close to the Lake. A great affordable place to hang out and use as home base while enjoying Lake Tahoe and enjoying friends.
