When we received the key to our room just going down the hallway give us an idea of what we would be dealing with. Carpets were torn up and look as if they needed to be replaced walls were dirty-looking. The elevator doors said FU in big letters. When we got in the elevator it smelled like bleach so bad that I had to put my shirt over my nose. As we open the door to the room, it stunk like smoke so I understand why they had the windows open to air it out. Both beds were dished in big time instead of being flat. The whole place was just run down. They did tell us that they would give us our money back but said they were holding $400 on our card because they had to wait for their money from Priceline. We laughed and stayed at another nicer Hotel.
The Bathroom ceiling light was out, but couldn't get it replaced, because the lack of personnel, so had to get light bulbs and replace them myself. Water in the shower could not become warm, so couldn't use the shower. The pool and gym were closed as well.
Rude staff dirty room. You have to request fresh towels 24 hours in advance and you will not receive them if someone request towels before you. I am adding those pictures to prove how dirty this place is.
We attempted to stay hire in July and booked through a 3rd party. After the first 5 groups of people in front of us argued with the unprofessional front desk staff due to various issues (broken key cards, no reservation, refusal of refunds), we attempted to check in. A 14 year old boy sitting behind the obviously un-ambulatory staff handled my credit card which seemed sketchy. I guess reaching more than 12" to the card processor was more than is allowable by the obvious fitness regimen. The pool was closed contradicting their marketing. The rooms were horrifically filthy and smelly. Fridge was dented from fists and chipped paint and smelled awful inside. The phones were both broken (in literal pieces) with no dial tones. The TV's did not work and it was obvious they couldn't be made to work due to their state of disrepair. The olympics were on but we couldn't watch them. We decided we needed to leave and asked for a refund. After waiting behind some of the same complaining customers again experiencing more issues and new guests being told they had no reservation, we asked to leave. Teresa promised us a refund and we left. We didn't realize we left our medicine bag in the room that had schedule 1 pharmaceuticals (for ADHD) and when we tried to call, the line was never answered and a few times we got the "this line isn't taking calls" message. We drove all the way back and she said she knew it was our bag but didn't call. Do they realize that would constitute theft? The DEA would have been curious to say the least. This place is an absolute disgusting and horrific mess. I cannot believe Choice Hotels allows their franchisee's to run an operation like this. In a cross country trip of low quality motels, this place ranked uninhabitable and should be investigated by the state health department. Motel 6 was a refreshingly better option. By the way, do your staff realize they have to hand wash BEFORE and after handling food? I would have rather stayed in a cardboard box fort behind the 7-11 dumpster and had dirty mike and the boys serenade me with old Journey songs than to stay in that dump. I will say it would definitely make a wonderful shooting location for a low budget horror movie. If you're considering staying here, please first look into the local casinos and check their rates. Even with the "resort fees" they tack on, it's actually cheaper and a much more luxurious stay. This place needs to be converted to a homeless shelter or temporary stay for migrant workers or a women's shelter - it currently serves no other valuable purpose to the area.…
Choice Hotel members, booked a King Bed room but when we checked in we were given a room with two standard beds. Room was dirty, carpet was not vacuumed, toilet seat was broken, hot water in tub was running and would not shut off. AC was not working right. This place should be shut down and torn down. Save yourself a nightmare and don't book this disgusting place.
