It is currently 1:10 AM and our windows are vibrating on the third floor from the pool party downstairs. In reading other reviews it seems like the hotel is aware that their pool party is loud, disruptive and inconsiderate of many guests. It wish I could share just HOW loud this music is! Apparently this goes on until 2 AM. It appears that the hotel however doesn't care...gotta make that money. It would be nice if they had given us the option to be on the other side and away from the thumping music and screaming DJ. Our room is all wide awake (including my two small children) desperately waiting for 2 am to come. I get it, it's summer and people want to let loose. Howrver, the nightlife shouldn't be at the expense of other guests! Clearly the pool party is a higher priority.

Hotel's Favourite
If I could scream from the roof of the GSR I would. I take service and amenities seriously. I have been a loyal patron of the Grand Sierra now for 5 plus years. I have always had a an exceptional experience while I visit. It does not like feel like a visit anymore , it just feels like my second home. I have the great honor of being assigned a host, her name is SUSIE MOORE. And Moore is the key word not punt intended, however , I know I am not a hard guest and very low maintenance, but she truly goes out of her way always to make sure My guests and myself are attended to, made comfortable and relaxed. Its not just kudos to Susie who I absolutely love , it is the rest of the amazing staff at the GSR who are guest focused and orientated. On the gaming floor I just love Sunni she is one of the floor managers and she is very genuine and so kind., knows us by name and always stops to visit, At the bar ( My favorite ) Jose and Peggy are simply the most professional and best bartender/ drink masters / mixologists I have every meet. Grand Sierra puts out a perfect product and experience in my humble perspective. I choose to come here as often as time allows, and if it was not for Susie, and her genuine, professional manner I would be lost. I admire the GSR and all that the entire staff does. Yes- the machines play with you yes- the rooms are spotless yes! the food venues are outstanding and never get dull I feel safe gaming here and spending time in the resort Spa treatments are amazing and the staff is sensational! Events and Concerts are always extremely thought out and fun! Do not even think twice about staying at another property in Reno, GSR has it all! Thank you GSR team for making this a wonderful place to visit.

It is 1:10 AM and our windows are vibrating from the pool party downstairs. It is SO loud that with the AC on high and our TV on a calming show we can still hear every beat, the DJ screaming every few minutes and the music below. We are on the third floor. I wish I could share just HOW loud this music is! Apparently this goes on until 2 AM meaning my children and I will not get to sleep until then. While I understand the need for nightlife it shouldn't be at the expense of guests throughout the hotel trying to sleep! I am three floors up and understand every word. I tried to reach the front desk just to let them know that this is an overlooked consideration...no one answered, again. So if you plan a visit to GSR and want to sleep don't come on a Friday or Saturday. Clearly the pool party is a higher priority. Details: The Room: spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately it was never cleaned or trash taken out (I am guessing because of Covid). We needed more towels and couldn't reach anyone at the front desk (again) so we found a very nice housekeeping individual who helped us out. Room Sevice: Not available. There is mobile ordering for pick up. The breakfast menu literally has two things on it (omelet and one other egg thing)...and no drinks, coffee or anything. Definitely a missed opportunity. I mean offer waffles or pancakes; a muffin at least! Pool: family friendly, great service and nice options at various price points. We rented a day bed which was comfortable and enough room for our party of four. Food was decent and drinks were refreshing. Excellent service from our attendant. Guest Service: mediocre. Any attempts at reaching the front desk resulted in a voice-mail.

GSR has been our home away from home for more than a decade. With its proximity to the airport and Tahoe it's ideal. Over the past year we haven't made it Reno/Tahoe as often as we like however every time we've called to make a reservation we've had the pleasure of working with Rose. My wife and I agree, Rose is a Rock Star! Not only does she have her finger on the pulse, her ability to listen to what we are looking for combined with the way she articulates what's available and how to maximize our players club promos is priceless. Hopefully everyone has the pleasure of working with Rose at some point, she's definitely one of GSR's greatest assets! Thanks Rose!
