This motel has terrible service. My reservation was for Monday through Friday. My connecting flight was cancelled and I was stuck in another town and didn't arrive until Tuesday. Not only did they charge me for the night I wasn't there, they cancelled the rest of the reservation! Terrible way to treat customers. As I was discussing this with the clerk, Reno PD came in looking for a lady and her kids. Perhaps not a place I would want to stay.
You can’t expect a lot for $60 a night. The property does need a decent cleaning. Rooms have patios or balconies which is nice. Plenty of restaurants in the area. The restaurant on site is good. TV’s are small but work. Plenty of water and hot for the shower. Fine for a night.
Bad receptionist, broken hair dryer plug nearly got shocked, plastic bag over the smoke detector, mold on the bathtub and under the sink, seen a person shooting up not for covid 19. Motel 6 a better choice.
I had reservations for 4 nights/5 days. Upon arrival the front office and parking lot were clean of debris. There was covid plexi-glass at the check in area and everyone was wearing a mask. After checking in and paying they say your room number out loud for all in the lobby to hear. Then show you on a map of the property how to get outside to go to the building your room is located in. Went outside, noticed the pool was covered properly as it was winter. Walked the wrong side around pool to the building where my room was located. Noticed piles of trash built up inside some rooms between the curtains and window itself. Upon entering the building noticed dingy walls and bright lights from the ceiling. Entered my room, smelled strong of bleach, as in open a window there is so much bleach smell. The sliding glass door in my room was totally unlocked when I entered. The lock was faulty at best. I had it barricaded the entire time I stayed. The carpet had black filth stains all over the traffic areas. One corner of room was covered in dust about 3-4 inches thick, my photos do not do it justice to actually show the build up of dust and debris. The phone was a blast from the past, covered in dirt and a cigarette burn. The remote to the TV did not look any better. There is a rusted out bottle open mounted to the sink panel next to the restroom. When I took a shower in the morning there was a black foot print from my foot when I walked across the carpet to get my clothes before I got into the shower. The foot print remained in the tub upon my check out. So gross! Also had a screw sticking up on the threshold of the doorway to the restroom. To use the heater it is either on or off, no self regulating. One day during my stay got static shocked with a blue arc going from my finger to the radiator (yes radiator) on the wall. My room key was consistently failing. Had to make several trips a day to the front desk to get a new key or have the key replaced. At one point the maintenance man came to replace the door lock because nobody key card would work to open it. During the trips to the office they would say my room number out LOUD for all to hear. May as well have put it on the marque too. No concern for safety of the guests. All night there are doors slamming, knocking on doors and walls. Witnessed so many drug deals taking place in the parking lot and through out the property, several prostitutes waiting for their John to arrive. One night had multiple gun shots fired in parking lot. After the night of gun shots I checked out early and stayed at a different hotel for the remainder of my visit to Reno. When I did check out I said I was checking out early. I was never asked why or given an opportunity to provide feedback. I was also charged an extra night instead of refunded the difference. However they did correct that issue promptly. The only photos that can be recent of this hotel are the ones provided by reviewers and the outside photos. I highly doubt any of the rooms look how they are presented in the photos. I saw into many rooms when walking to/from my own and they all looked the same as mine, shameful.…
The room on the backside should be called such. Hallways are filthy even though the roms appear to have been cleaned recently. Coming back after dinner, l was accosted by a panhandler asking for money. There is no evening/night at this ''motel.'' Pool has been non-functional since who knows when. Vending machines in dark room! The M6 near by looks better superfically.
