The Eldorado Reno Hotel & Casino offers a trove of amenities that guests enjoy, including diverse dining options and entertainment, along with a praised connection to other properties. While many visitors commend the hotel's cleanliness and the hospitable staff, opinions on the atmosphere and room decor are divided, with some finding the style antiquated. Our group from the Bay area goes to Reno twice a year for the past 20 years. Late August for golf/fantasy football draft and in March for March Madness. This was our first time staying at The Eldorado thanks to the Executive Casino Host Grant Wellington.
I rarely give 5-star reviews. The rooms are perfectly cleaned, with comfortable beds and bedding, strong water pressure, beautiful views, etc.
The world-class dining. Yes, I said world-class dining was off the charts. La Strada was one of the best Italian restaurants on this side of the pond. We are all foodies from the bay. The all around experience was perfect. Roxy is also very good.
We are looking forward to returning for March Madness!

El Dorado is my favorite at the Row. They always have VIP casino hosts available to accommodate your needs. They are diligent about keeping your environment sanitized clean and comfortable. They have been adding reward credits and small credits to my reservation too. The pool was wonderful, the food was great, & the staff was pleasant and helpful going out of their way to Help implement a joyful experience.

The hotel offers a very good combination.

I stayed on one of the newly renovated rooms. The room had a very nice update. The cleaning staff did an excellent job!!! The fridge was quiet and the shower was good. Everything worked and and I slept soundly. I did not hear the rooms next to me.

All four pillows were thick and the same - suggest bringing your own, if you sleep on a medium thick one.

I had to move from the seventh floor to the tenth floor to escape the vibrating sound of the roof top HVAC units a few floors down - suggest asking for the highest floors. It seemed like the larger queen rooms were on the opposite side of the tower and might not have this issue.

There was about a 1.5 inch gap under the door. The sound transfer from the hall could be very audible during the day. The hotel guests in my section were quite and I was not bothered by it at night. Suggest stuffing a towel under the door, if it might be an issue.

The staff was very nice overall. The casino and public restrooms (newly renovated )were kept very clean. There is a good collection of restaurants and for all budgets.

I had a lot of fun going between the three casinos. The RTP was good. The drink service at the slots was above average and friendly. The Laugh Factory was good and recommended!! I enjoyed all my meals. The music was also very good In the gaming areas - a nice treat.

The Automobile museum just down the street is excellent!!

Overall, I had surprisingly good time. I usually play in Vegas and I wanted to try something new. I will come enjoy the Row again, in the near future.

Recommended!!

When the usbc open national tournament is in Reno we always stay at the eldorado. In the last 6 or 7 times we have never had any problems and always enjoyed our stay. This time I chose to get a suite thinking it would be more comfortable for my husband. Turned out to be the worst experience of my life. The room was filthy even found food in the ice machine in our room not to mention the drugs that were under the bed that I found while trying to find a item of my that the maids had accidentally thrown away because it was under a towel. My husband had to sleep on the couch because the air conditioning wasn’t working and it was too hot to sleep in the bedroom. I reported everything to the front desk and out of the 7 major issues ( one was the deadbolt didn’t work) they only fixed one which was clean one thing I asked them to please clean but when they did that they picked up the hand towel and threw away one of my items that I had under it. I understand that they were full but how can they let people stay in a room that doesn’t have a working air conditioner. They finally offered for us to move rooms late on our last night there. I was told that the property manager was busy with a vip event and didn’t have time to talk to me but they would call me on Saturday. I was told that 6 times and now it’s been three days and still no response from anyone about my lost property. No I have to pay 4000.00 to replace my missing property. The worst thing is that they make us check out of the room before I got to get everything taken care of or at least speak to the resort manager so they could have it ready for the next guest. They didn’t even fix the problem with the air conditioner for the next guests either. This hotel doesn’t care about their guests unless you are a high roller and or spending lots of money in the casino. I’m so disappointed in staff at the hotel. The only people that even tried to help us were the security guards staff they were great.

We were charged an 89$ “resort fee” at check in that was unexpected and not listed on the initial reservation. We didn’t have a choice given that we found out at check in, so we took the room. The resort fee was supposed to cover the two pools and gym. The pools were both closed for the season. Our room was incredible small, and the last room on the 8th floor (right next to the fire exit). It felt like a utility room because it was so small, nothing like the pictures. The view was awful, the tops of dirty dusty cement roofs. The curtains did not close all the way so the morning sunlight was hard to keep out so we woke up earlier than we wanted. We were given very small amounts of creamer for the coffee so called to ask for more and it took 40minutes. We also asked for “extra extra” creamer for the two of us and we received 3 tiny creamers. The hotel is centrally located though, which was nice. It was also excessively expensive, almost $300 a night with the resort fee…

We're disappointed to hear about your experience at Eldorado Resort Casino. We apologize for the unexpected resort fee and the inconvenience caused by the closed pools. We understand your frustration with the room size, view, and amenities not meeting your expectations. We also regret the delay in providing additional creamer for your coffee.

The staff overall were friendly and helpful. The room was not up to my standards when it came to overall cleanliness. When I went to use the coffee maker, I checked to make sure it was clean and in the water tank there was food in it. I called down and was supposed to get a replacement which never happened. Also be aware that they have a closing mechanism on the hinges for the doors so you will hear doors slamming all night. Overall mediocre hotel and experience.

I was extremely disappointed with our stay at the ElDorado. I booked a Luxury 2 Queens Non-Smoking Newly renovated room in February 2023 for our stay in May 2023 for the USBC Open. The room I got was a Deluxe 2 Queens Non-Smoking piece of crap! (Definitely not "Newly Renovated") I had to call housekeeping & the front desk five times to get another TV remote. Then after I got another remote, you still had to stand about 2" from the TV for it to work. Then the coffee maker quit working after the 2nd day of our stay. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. I vented my frustrations with the lady at the front desk, to no avail. She just "Blew me off"

There were bright spots, unfortunately those did not make up for the negative. Initially, the young man at the front desk, Benjamin was fantastic. He was personable and polite. It was the perfect reception after a long day of driving. Sadly, things went downhill from there. We paid for the upgrade on our room, but when we reached the "deluxe room" it wasn't much different than the discount hotel we'd stayed in the previous day. In addition, there were housekeeping issues in the room and it was difficult to reach staff for questions on how to remedy those issues, and when we did several of the staff were less than cordial. In particular, Kristina at the front desk was rude and dismissive on multiple occasions.
We did not expect special treatment, but we did hope for good customer service and to be treated with respect. Sadly, that was not the case and it was a blemish on an otherwise enjoyable vacation. Neither I nor my family will be returning to the El Dorado in Reno, and I will not be recommending it to anyone else.

Adequate for the basic gambling trip to Reno via train and a couple games for the Reno Aces. Super enhanced air exchange system really cut the cigarette smoke. Restaurants are a little hit and miss, some open limited schedules, others understaffed, and busy. But food was fine. Maid service was very fast and efficient. Front desk was very busy, but very helpful.

The hotel is worn. In our room the safe didn't work properly...took an hour to even reach anyone at maintenance...automatic text concierge just stopped responding. Calls through hotel operator got dropped 4 straight times. 15 minutes on hold. Then an hour wait for anyone to actually show up in the room. And only fixed one of two problems!

Drawers didn't work. Cabinet door hanging on by half an hinge.

Then, a resort fee!

Hotel is nice, our room was big and beautiful. We had a suite on 5th floor (room 576) NON SMOKING FLOOR!!!
The room was very warm walking in so we set the thermostat to 68 to cool off. Took off for a few hours to come back to have a slight cigarette/ Marijuana smell in our room and the temperature only down to 74°. The room felt a little stuffy and air was thick. But we stuck it out hoping it would get cooler. The safety latch on door was broken, I didn't like that at all. Next day Housekeeping was amazing. We took a all day trip to Virginia City and had a great day. Came back to room and Hallway smelled of Marijuana. When we got to our room we smelled Cigarettes and Marijuana. We finally figured out it was coming through the vents, the same vent out A/C should be coming through. Room only cooled down to 72° and that is where it would stay. Went to dinner and came back to same ole smells. So about 3:30 a.m. we were both awaken by a plume of cigarette smell smoke in our room. The air was so thick neither of us could breathe. We decided to get up and just go. We had plans for the day but decided to just drive home since it was only 3 and a half hours away to sleep in our own bed. Apon check out I informed the front desk and the lady there at 4 a.m. on 9/2/24 Said she "Was sorry and because we were on 5th floor the smoke from the 4th floor must of risen up to our room, considering 4th floor is smoking". That's it! So I told her for all the money I paid for this room that's a bunch of crap and I'll be going back to Circus Circus to stay for now on as I've never had that problem there and I can save some money.
El Dorado Casino Hotel and Caesars you really let me down. Horrible Room stay and way overpriced for this crap.
