Hello, not sure about the towels for the pool, never noticed nor did we use the pools either. There is a small convience store within walking distance along the strip (opposite MGM) with some items. We ended up going to a Walmarts store by bus, not too far away for a few things. Did some research prior to going to Las Vegas as it was my first time there. Have a look on Google Earth to see what is around there. Tours for Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam can always be booked over there (if you have not done that before), I booked once there through a tour group advertising along the strip whilst I was there. :-)
