Upon walking in the room, I can smell the laundered sheets and towels. The room was very clean. My only complaint was that after the rain, there was a dripping noise in the bathroom as I was on the top floor.
The hotel is close to most Carson City activities - Kings Canyon Waterfall, Nevada State Museum and the railroad museum. The hotel was 30 minutes from the Reno Airport and Lake Tahoe and an hour from Truckee.

The staff was incredibly welcoming. Even though this hotel is near the freeway it is extremely quite. We were there for an extended stay during construction on our house. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. My corgi appreciated the doggy area. I will definitely have family and friends stay at this hotel.

Overall, a very nice hotel. It's in the northern part of Carson City, only about 15-20m from Reno. I really like Carson City compared to Reno as I think it's more family friendly with fewer casinos. This Hampton Inn is situated close to the freeways and has several restaurants a short drive down the road. The bedding is great, the indoor pool is roomy although the hot tub is a little small. We really appreciated the front desk person giving us some snacks as a Hilton Honors member as we didn't want bottled water (we had our own refillable water bottles). Only con I would say is that the fitness room has only 3 machines (treadmill, elliptical, and bike) along with free weights. Breakfast was decent with a waffle making machine.

It's terrific to know we were the perfect family-friendly getaway for you and could serve as your laid-back retreat away from Reno's hustle. I'm also happy that you liked the privileges of being a Hilton Honors member and appreciated your snacks, in addition to our comfy bedding and indoor pool! I understand that our gym can be a bit minimalist for our fitness enthusiasts, and we're investigating some improvements here thanks to the feedback we've received. In the meantime, if you're not quite feeling the burn with our equipment - our Front Desk is happy to offer recommendations to the local gyms nearby (both big names and locally owned) that offer day-passes with more extensive equipment. As far as I know though, they don't serve waffles - so you'd have to get your workout fuel from us before heading out. A great experience at Hampton Inn Carson City. Very clean, a big priority for us. Housekeepers were so nice and constantly mopping, vacuuming and cleaning the main public areas like the lobby and dining room, and most importantly our rooms were very clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was included and was quite good, with waffles, sausages, cereals, breads, etc. We liked that they also had individual containers of peanut butter and cream cheese too. Special shout out to the manager Alicia, Robert, Caitlin and the whole staff for being very accommodating, including giving us a late checkout. We requested an extra room last minute which they were able to book and put our family on the same floor which was very helpful. Staff was so courteous. The hotel had updated decor and finishes in the guest rooms. Thanks for a great stay!

This is a dark and dreary hotel which was a rather unpleasant place to be. It is an older building which was renovated in 2018 which means they added a lot of gray color. Combine that with the poor lighting in every area of the hotel and it's a weird atmosphere for such a sunny place.
We had a studio suite which was fairly spacious but the sink was in the open with the shower and toilet behind a door, which is always a bad setup. The door scraped against the bathroom floor when it was closing. The pictures on the website showed a glass shower but the room we had was a tub with a curtain. The vanity was small, though it did have a useful shelf.
The staff was unremarkable - neither particularly friendly nor particularly unfriendly. No complaints about them, but nothing to write home about.

Covid-19 train wreck. Most employees not wearing masks or not wearing the properly of when interacting with customers at the front desk. Staff seems oblivious to the raging deadly pandemic. As a first responder, I'm especially offended when hotel and restaurant workers do not respect my safety or the safety of those I might come into contact with.
Two stars, not one because the pool and hot tub are very nice. The pool and hot tub were the main reason I chose this hotel. Also, earning them an extra star, the housekeeper was wearing her mask properly every time I saw her even when she did not know I I was noticing.
Air conditioner / heater, even when powered off, comes on approximately every 25 minutes, runs for exactly 20 seconds, then shuts off. It does this all night long.

Foremost, I sincerely apologize for the actions and lack of proper mask wearing you observed by some of our staff. Your comments have been reviewed by our Management at the highest authority to ensure that these practices do not continue. We don't take your feedback lightly, as this is unacceptable performance under our hotel policy as well as Hilton standards. Safety is our utmost concern for both our guests and employees, and adherence to the guidance and mandates provided by the CDC as well as our state remains paramount. I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the A/C and heater in your room - and I've forwarded this to our Maintenance department to investigate the issue and correct this. The close proximity of 395 and 580 made for an ideal location for a traveler. The parking lot has some overhead solar panels, shading the vehicles. We received an enthusiastic welcome at the front desk. The room was spacious and spotless. The mattress enabled us to get a good night's sleep for our two-night stay. There were plentiful charging ports and 120v plugs. The buffet breakfast had the usual Hampton choices. We missed have a banana, though. The cold cereal had some so-so Kellogg's brands and lacked granola and raisin bran. The oatmeal was a hearty substitute for those two cereals. We would stay here again.

This is the place to stay when you want a great price, outstanding comfort and cleanliness, great food and a staff that puts you #1 during your stay. Even the parking is unique, with covered areas that keep most of the snow off your vehicle. The rooms are very spaceous and top quality clean. The staf are friendly and caring and will assist you in finding what you need or how to get there. Food places all over the town, so your main problem will be deciding where to eat. The location is great for travel to and from the town and other locations. I am looking forward to staying here soon.

We stayed here after driving from Sonoma and before taking Amtrak back to Chicago. Room was comfortable and clean. I appreciate Hampton taking care to make sure rooms are clean as well as taking care of their employees by having them not clean rooms while visitors stay multiple nights. We chose to go out for breakfast but assume breakfast was continental pick-up. I did have an issue with my bill, and Robert worked hard to get the issue resolved.

We had booked King bed with a Suite but we were given a Studio and then we were moved to 2 Queen bed room. It was extremely hard to sleep in given the room had a door which was shared with other guest and there was constant noise of bathroom and flush.
We expected really high standard from Hilton but this really disappointed us. The breakfast was not up to mark as there was just one choice of scrambled egg. Also the bathroom tub was very dirty, we did not end of using any bathroom towels and we did not use the shower.

We went to Pho County which is down the street (not walking distance but a short drive). It was good Vietnamese food run by a Vietnamese family. I would go back there when in Carson City.
There are several very good restaurants in downtown Carson City, about 2 miles south. They are all listed on Tripadvisor.....
I believe that 5 people may exceed a room's maximum occupancy. Not sure if a rollaway bed can be provided. I recommend calling the hotel to confirm.
I don't think so, but there is a Jacuzzi by the pool and there are hardly any people ever in it and we are usually there during the busy part of the year. Pool is big and clean. It's a great place to stay. we've been staying there at least one annually since it opened.
Yes!. We have a small refrigerator and microwave in every room.
