We were staying in the Klawer Hotel for three nights during a funeral.
Due to the fact I was in a wheel chair, I was booked on the ground floor. The room only had a bath which was a bid inconvenient, but I managed. The ramp into the hotel is a bid steep and cannot be tackled without assistance.
The service was excellent and the breakfast was perfect.
I will do it again.

a Lovely old hotel with safe parking. Friendly and help full at reception. 10/10 for Marius. But the place needs a serious upgrade. For us, to dark inside, the linen, towels and pillows was clean but need to be replaced. There were NO coffee/tea in the room only the kettle and cups. TV - only TV1 and a movie channel was working. The restaurant, dark inside, and also need a serious spring clean, and make over. The food was very nice and cooked to taste. Vegies not so nice and a little over priced. The place has deteriorated over the years, please, don't blame covid.

It was a good experience. The service was great and the amenities are good. We were also satisfied with the food. The waiters and the management were very friendly and helpful. The location is central and we looked forward to go and rest in the rooms after a long, hot day

We were exceptionally lucky to obtain a booking as the hotel was fully booked when we visited. Although the hotel had a skeleton staff, and load shedding during dinner, the staff coped admirably, with friendly, efficient service and a delicious meal. The location is ideal for viewing the wild flowers, being in close proximity to Clanwilliam and Nieuwoudtville. We would not hesitate to recommend the generous hospitality of staff at the Klawer Hotel.

The worst stay we ever experienced. We travelled a round trip through the Karoo for 11 days and stayed at various guesthouses and self catering places which were all excellent. We were forced to stay at Klawer hotel as all the guesthouses were fully booked in the area. They charged us more than any of the places we stayed during our trip with the worst room to stay. The room were old and poorly furnished. When opening the hot water taps, it took a very long time before the water became hot, wasting a lot of water. No fridge in room. The bed was uncomfortable. We will certainly not recommend to anybody to stay there.

Rooms advertised and put into differs a lot and is not up to what is advertised. Rooms need lots of attention - cracks, needs paints, TV's are old and no clean towels daily. have to use old wet towels over again. Food are excellent in restaurant.

I had to move out just after one night, even though I booked four. It took me 8 days to get at leat a partial refund through Agoda, as the hotel management wouldn't cooperate. (when presented with the issue the manager looked sympathetic, but once I left - not so much) In addition to what looked like bed bug stained sheets, there was no dustbin in the room. The windows are facing the road, and you hear both cars and pedestrians. Almost like staying on the street. And yes, the Internet was not working in the room (but was working at the restaurant, which was closed the night I stayed there)

Beds and bedding in our room was old and worn out , we had a very uncomfortable night . Furniture and equipment is not practical and does not help to make your stay comfortable at all . The carpet in our room was dirty and had stains on . I was very disappointed in Klawer Hotel's accomodation and wil not vissit them again.

The place as a safari feel to it. The room mattress need to be changed to more thick and comfortable ones. The food is quit good your sure to get great food portions on every meal.

Will not recommend it for long stays.
