Approx. 1 km from the N7 in Klawer, The Vine is very conveniently located for an overnight stop. The room we stayed in was attractively and comfortably appointed, with all the amenities you need for an overnight stay. This is not a self-catering place, although a braai (BBQ) faculty is available, if really needed. However, you will need to being all the necessary crockery, cutlery, etc. Our arrival was very welcoming and we were pleased with the recommendation to have dinner at Margo's Restaurant in the Klawer Hotel which is a short drive from The Vine.

We decided to take a impromptu drive to see the flowers. The Vine was a lucky find. A pleasant surprise. Reasonably priced and great value for money. Christa was lovely and professional. The room was beautiful and sparkling clean. Exactly as advertised. We will definitely be back.

Good spacious and very clean accommodation. Slept over for one night with family and young kids. The venue has secure parking. Only little problem is the plumbing on the shower - the water is either very hot or cold.

My wife has great difficulty walking distances or negotiating steps, so I phoned the owner before booking. Since I was told she could offer us a suitable room, I booked but when we arrived she had to walk with a walker over uneven brick paving along the front of the house then almost the full length of the side to a family room at the back. Also she is short, so she struggled to get onto the high bed and on the second night slept on a chair instead. The massive gate was not motorised and I had to push it manually open and closed, while the difficult parking had a barren tree making it difficult to get in and out of the car. The room was cold with no heater or spare blankets and the TV did not work (the manager confessed to not knowing how to fix it). It rained while we were there so the overgrown plants made walking up the side of the building unpleasant.

On the way up to The Richtersveld we stayed overnight in Port Nolloth. 'Heritage Cottages' didn't do it for us. On our way home we rather chose The Vine. Now with the delightful Christna now the Host, it was as lovely as ever. Modern. Immaculate. Quiet. Lovely garden. An extreme opposite of Port Nolloth. We won't do that again. 'Cannot write more highly of our wonderfully refreshing stay over at The Vine.

Immaculate accommodation, so many nice touches, we particularly liked the honesty Fridge, the comfortable bed, lovely bedding and towels, fresh milk for our morning coffee, great wifi, and the charming host Christa. And a very reasonable Rate.

If you just need a small "expensive for what you get" room for tje night with all the basics that the market now offers then this is it. No filter coffee and generous rusks as per images on website, just 4 sticks of instant coffee, 4 sugars, 2 unknown tea bags wraped in plastic and 2 rusks. No breakfast or breakfast option as per photos. No luggage rack and just 2 hangers. The rest is standard and nothing special. There is just one set of curtains so you dont have privavey if you pull then back. Gate not motorised and guests need to lock and unlock security gate themselves, rather primative and not practical. For a owner run "Guest House" this was rather disappointing and not the "Home away from Home" one expects from a country visit.

What an incredible find this guest house is in Klawer. Stefan, the owner, went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The accommodation is beautiful - comfortable beds and quality linen and towels and everywhere spotlessly clean. You could not ask for anything better. We will certainly be staying there again as we couldn't recommend it highly enough.

We stayed over last minute at The Vine in Klawer and Stephan the owner, was so helpful and made us very comfortable and supplied whatever we needed. The suite was perfectly clean. Definitely would stay there again.

I have visited Vredendal, Klawer and Trawal for business and stayed at The Vine Guesthouse in Klawer. I can recommend it to everyone. Very neat, free wifi and Stefan, the owner, went out of his way to make my stay comfortable. He even baked special muffins for me.
