The suite was huge. Strange blend of decor, in my opinion, but high quality bed and bedding.

Place in a secure estate. Acess control. Safe parking. Close to the dam sunrise and mountainous view. Loadshedding lights on critical areas and lamp in each room. Upgraded rooms, facility with an infinity pools facing the dam. Friendly staff.

We had a nice time at Kosmos manor Guest house, from the time of arrival the workers were very friendly and assisting with everything. I recommended my aunt to stay there as she will celebrate her daughters birthday and my colleagues too. the service was on top, rooms were clean.

Booking at Kosmos Manor , was certainly the best decision to our special weekend that included our Anniversary and Birthday Celebrations.
Ilze(Manager) was an absolute brilliant host! Her warm welcome and efforts in making our stay a pleasant one exceeded our expectations. We missed the Guest House immediately after driving off. The Staff, Mbo, was such a delight. I will definitely recommend Kosmos Manor. We were in the presidential suite and we LOVED it

When you read the Website and Facebook information this place is a small piece of heaven but when you arrive at the guest house everything seems to be the opposite. At arrival the staff weren’t friendly and welcoming as a 5 star guest house should have been. We were informed that the bar closes at 7 and just to find out that we only have a limited variety of drinks to choose from. Not 5 star standards. Dinner was served cold and not how we wanted our steak. We were told that we can only choose steak and chops for dinner but the pamphlets in the rooms shows a whole menu to choose from. Steak and chops were the top 2 expensive meals on the menu. Cutlery and glasses was oily and dirty. As a family we wanted to relax in the jacuzzi and enjoy the lovely view. The jacuzzi was out of order and for a long time if you see the black filth under the lovely jacuzzi cover. When you go to your room expect to stand for 5 mins to figure out the switches for the lights. There’s no easy indication of how the switches work or how to operate them. Breakfast was better than previous nights dinner. The house is gorgeous and furniture is very well looked after. Big rooms door was broken at the lock. No two point plugs in ground floor rooms. Bath in ground floor room is very very small and not for adults. Just wondering how the guest house still advertise as a 5 star. This was issued in 2016. Definitely not the same place that is advertised.

When we arrived at Kosmos we had to take our OWN bags up to the MANOR , talk about the stairway to heaven ... but that 5 STAR manor didn't feel like heaven at all. we were all so keen to make use of the jacuzzi that was advertised only to find out since 2017 there were no more heated bubbles ,(still being advertised)
they don't do maintanance on the premisses
when they served our food we asked for meduim steak (most expensive )offered on the menu for that day...(which was up to crap along with the crappy service )
There's camera surveillance but no improving of any sort
no two point plugs in the room down stairs
we were told at 16:00 that the bar, closes at 19:00
limited alcohol available &
a long over due shooter bottle

Not a 5 star place at all! Service was poor and staff unfriendly. The service was slow and we had to go and look for staff if we needed something. The food was appauling and cold at dinner. We were told that there was either steak ir chops for dinner. We chose medium steak, but received well done steak and stale cold french fried chips. Breakfast was better but with minimum choice to choose from. We were a group of 6 people but received 5 plates of food.
The manor itself is beautiful with high quality furniture. The manor is in a beautiful location. The pool was dirty and the jacuzzi was broken, apparently for a long time. The jacuzzi was what we were all looking forward to using, so this was a big dissappointment. There is no maintenance done at the property and is in need for this, especially outside. Wooden boards surrounding the jacuzzi are loose and could cause a lot of harm to someone.
I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if this is what you get for a 5 star. Its definately not 5 star!

A beautiful manor with a great view, however, it is very poorly maintained. The pool was not totally clean and blue and the hot tub that is shown in the pictures no longer exists which was disappointing. No back-up power during power outages so the heated pool doesnt get a chance to properly heat. High potential, especially with the old fashioned manor furniture and antiques but maintenance issue lets it down.

After being stuck at home during the 2020 lockdown, we decided to take the opportunity of escaping the confines of our home and the city, to enjoy a few relaxing days at the Hartbeespoort Dam. We were welcomed with open arms (with social distancing of course) by Ilse, Violet and the team. We had a relaxing time and the staff made us feel right at home. We stayed in one of the Presidential suites and the views over the dam are nothing short of amazing! Coffee on the balcony is an absolute winner! Can't wait to be back :)

Great views but why can’t you have breakfast before 9 am? Staff live on the premises? Music downstairs until 5am. Dirty wine glasses and serviettes from night before left in lounge area the next morning with staff walking past them. We decided not to wait for the breakfast. Not 5 star at all.

Enjoyed every moment. I wish you will be not fully booked on my second visit...

I would also love you to introduce points system, so that the more one visit Kosmos manor guest, the more they will be earning points that will eventually help them to visit free of charge in the near future ..
