We did not have reservations, but what a pleasant surprise. This family-run motel does not have a lot of rooms, but our room was spacious and clean, and included refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Personal attention from the owners. We liked that it was not a chain. Ryan recommended several places to eat, and told us how to get to Chimney Rock, also encouraging us to go to Courthouse Rock and Jailhouse Rock. Excellent rates! We would not hesitate to recommend The Bridgeport Inn to anyone. Refreshing to deal with a family!
Pulled into Bridgeport wanting to stay here. Skipping many bigger towns with big name motels and big price. What a great place to stay the night. The office is in the convenience store. There is a great resturant right there also and fuel. The room was very clean and very quiet. That's one thing you get in a older motel. I was pulling a trailer and with plenty of room to get around in. This will be put into our choice of motels for our company employees must stay when we are working in the area.
The rooms are cheap and fairly clean. The carpet looked and bathroom looked OK, but the chairs were dirty and had holes in the fabric. The beds had plastic covers on the mattresses, and were not that great. The pillows really smelt bad.
A buddy and I took an overnight trip to Bridgeport for a parts run. Got the last room in the motel. My buddy got the king size and said he slept well. I got the rollaway and had a hard time sleeping. The price was right and the room was clean. I'd stay there again.
I've stayed in many little motels and this one is better than most. Friendly family runs it, the rooms are clean and of good size. Microwave, fridge, flat screen, and quiet. Good prices too. The owners clearly know what they're doing.
