Detailed Reviews
We got away for a long weekend encompassing Valentine's Day to Presidents' Day and decided on Thompson Falls, Montana. The Cabin was very nicely appointed and away from the road. It had a microwave, refrigerator and "Keurig" style coffee maker. The armoire had ample hangers and space to hang our coats and other items. Overall, it was a very enjoyable weekend.

We spent two delightful nights in a “superior double cabin.” The cabins are identified by name and ours was “Missouri.” Sitting on the porch, we had unobstructed view of their green space and pond. A very nice consideration by the staff was having the A/C blowing when we entered the cabin….it was hot outside and that coolness was appreciated. The wifi was weak in the cabin. The Keurig pod machine was great and more pods for coffee and tea are available at the office. There was a bathroom nightlight. Enjoyable walking areas and a well-defined trail down to the Clark Fork River where there is a double person swing. And the motel’s pond had a mother Mallard duck with about a dozen chicks. They do permit dogs and upon occasion you could hear them barking and growling as guests walked by. Suggestion would be to ask to be away from cabins with dogs. They have several bubbly fountain arrangements scattered about the property. It is time for the motel to upgrade the sheets and pillow cases. The shower curtain bottom lays into the tub bottom…suggest that they snip off two inches so that the shower water drains off the curtain. Reception was helpful and friendly. The cabins had a kitchen, but we found a great nearby restaurant: Minnies Montana, Café 921 Main Street .

We love staying here. We stay at least once a year in either a room or cabin. This past weekend we had reserved a cabin, but when we arrived it seemed pretty small. I went back inside and asked if there was anything bigger as I was taking my husband on a getaway and we really needed more room. The owners, who manage the place didn’t bat an eye, and didn’t even charge me for a bigger cabin with plenty of space. Now, I’m not saying that they always do this but it meant so much to us that I wanted to mention it here.
Every year we return to find they have made improvements, added cabins or ponds or benches… The rooms are always very clean and cozy. The decor is rustic and really fun. In the summer there are trails and things to see. They have a nice little gift shop too for souvenirs.

We were visiting family in the area and we needed somewhere to sleep. We didn’t spend any time at the hotel so we can’t comment on that. The room was clean and comfortable. There was no surface to put a suitcase on though they did have drawers and a closet if we had wanted to unpack. Our room had a screened porch and a glass door into the room, otherwise it had no windows. Lighting by the sink (which was not in the bathroom) was poor for putting on makeup. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was no maid service due to COVID but they provided supplies/clean towels when requested. Given the few options in the area, we would stay here again.

We had reserved a two bed cabin at the higher rate for a cabin, but upon checking in they had moved us with no notice to a two bed room in the motel portion. The good news is they only charged us the lower rate for the room instead of what we had reserved at the cabin, but the kids were disappointed that I had talked up staying in a cabin and they got a motel room, and I was bummed the room neighbors woke up my kids throughout the night. They were fully booked so there was no option to get the room we were supposed to have. Had we been told in advance we would have changed our reservation to someplace else, but we got no warning which led to frustration.

This small family owned hotel was great. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was great with a real log bed and impeccably clean. If your looking for a quite cozy spot to enjoy the mountains off the beaten path this is the place. We will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants quality and service at a very affordable price point.

We stayed with our five boys in the two-bedroom (Teton) cabin for two nights. The cabin was beautifully decorated and updated. The kitchen was stocked with all manner of dishes for eating in and there was plenty of space for our gang (two teens, two tweens and a toddler) to spread out. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and polite and the price was on point. I have no complaints with our stay and we will definitely come back to Riverfront when we visit family again. Thank you!

We stayed in one of the smaller cabins - Vermillion - which was decorated nicely and comfortable for 2 people. The grounds are well organized and clean, with access to the Clark River. I would pick a cabin down below that overlooks the pond next time - they are further from the road noise. The cabin Teton has a great back deck looking out at the mountains. The motel style rooms seem crowded, but if the price is right... Just a few minute drive to downtown. Our room had cooking facilities, but why bother.

We stayed in a king size bed cabin, it was very clean with plenty of room. The bed was comfortable, no back ache in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we asked for suggestions for meals. The only thing I would suggest is add some oil to the bathroom door, its a loud squeak for the middle of the night potty break. :)
