The cabins are OK and pretty inline with what you get at other parks. This year, due to the pandemic, the restaurant was closed. The store closes at 5, so we arrive at six and have nothing to eat. Rather than drive outside the park, we take them up on the sandwiches they are selling out of a mini fridge. They were not fresh or tasty, but we were hungry. Husband said his turkey tasted funny - opened it up to see spots of blue mold inside it. Ugh! When I mentioned this when we checked out, all I got back was "Sorry this happened to you." That's some terrible customer service. It makes it sound as if no one was responsible...it just happened. Take some responsibility and at least offer to refund for the nasty sandwiches.

We stayed on one side of a duplex cabin. Not too well insulated from noise if the neighbors were talking loudly, but definitely very adequate. Cabin clean, good linens, comfortable bed, nice bedside reading lamp, room well ventilated. Updated bathroom, nice fixtures. Most rooms seemed to have a pair of Adirondack chairs. Ours did not. Internet steady in the one place available, the Office building lobby. Staff pleasant, attentive, and knowledgeable. No restaurant. Camp store had pleasant selection of snack food and drinks plus souvenirs and Glacier themed clothing.

Stayed for three nights in the motor inn. Two double bedroom is not large but enough room with a desk and chair. This is the best location in Glaciers. Close to the extremely popular Logan pass visitor center parking lot, which filled at 6:30AM every day during our stay. Have stayed in other properties in the park that costed more than twice of Rising sun. Neither room condition nor location were any better. The only drawback is hard to book.

Four of us stayed in a 2 bed Rising Sun cabin for three nights early August 2021. The park is amazing, of course, but we really disliked this accommodation. (Also stayed at Village Inn Apgar and Many Glacier Hotel - and loved those stays) Although the location is good for the east side of GNP and reservations there provide park entry, we would not recommend staying in a cabin if there are more than two people. It appeared that their hotel had a view and outside chairs but the cabins just viewed other cabins- no seating outside. They are spaced as doubles - 2 cabins attached to each other. Kept the fan going to help block out sound. We found it cramped, uninviting, and claustrophobic. No table to sit at, and only one chair, very little room to accommodate luggage and belongings. We set up the ironing board to hold smaller items, used the chair by the sink to hold toothbrushes, etc since no shelving, and inconveniently shuffled suitcases around as needed. The toilet and shower were partitioned off at the foot of one bed (no room for storage in there) and a small sink and mirror is in the area with the beds. We did not see inside the motor inn or hotel rooms but they might be a better option if staying with your family. We just don’t recommend cabins for a family.

We stayed in the cabin. Wonderfully retro ! Clean and tidy. No air conditioning but a box fan supplied in the room was perfect! Tranquil relaxation viewing the mountains from sitting on the porch steps. If you have a lawn chair with you that is more comfortable. Check the website to plan for food availability prior to your trip. The restaurant at rising sun was closed on our visit. We were happy to have bagels and cream cheese in our cooler for breakfast! Coffee maker in the room.
