We stayed for 2 nights, having passed this motel on a previous trip a few months ago. The motel is easily accessible and the room was clean, tidy and comfy. It was stocked with cups and glasses, a fridge and microwave. The kitchenette with a kettle also had tea bags, coffee, sugar and long life milk. I was disappointed that, for the price, we didn’t get breakfast and the tea/coffee wasn’t replaced like it would be in a hotel. The bathroom was a good size and clean and the shower, although not overly powerful was hot and the cubicle spacious. Towels, shower gel, soap, shampoo and cream was all provided should you need it. Decent WiFi in the room and plenty of parking available. It was a bit noisy at times, especially with doors squeaking and banging but we slept reasonably well both nights. On my booking email it said check in was at 5pm. We arrived at 515 to find that reception is only open until 5pm and I needed to call the out of hours to be checked in - however, it was easy to do this and the lady came straight away but it seemed odd that check in was from the time the reception closed! Check out at 11 was very welcomed - not that we stayed that late but it was nice not to feel rushed! Overall, a good, decent and clean place to stay but get it was quite expensive for what it was.

We were really pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this campsite. A really friendly welcome, a lovely field - so loads of space to choose from. Small toilet block - but ok. It tipped it down with rain so the path we drove through got very muddy but the rest of the field was fine. Rain stopped when it got dark and although we didn't have a fire it was lovely seeing all the fires going around the site (you can buy wood etc from reception). Only drawback is campsite is right next to the A21 which is really busy all day and all night - if going back again I would definitely take earplugs! Also, some of the people staying were playing quite loud music - and there didn't seem to be anyone patrolling that. But overall a lovely good value campsite - which if we are in the area again, we will definitely stay at .

Lovely big field, pitch where you want. A bit of road noise but you soon get used to that. We really enjoyed it there and are coming back this month. Extremely reasonable pricing including the same £10 for 3 bags of wood as last year it seems. £15 per night for small tent with 2 people, dog was £1.50 per night...he loved it too!

I had 1 night in the motel with a friend in August 2019, while travelling around the area. I chose the place, as I had a short break here few years ago and knew that the motel was safe, neat, comfy enough and easily accessible on the very side if the main road. Though it was August, luckily it wasn't that crowded I expected, and even the camp site was just fairly occupied. We got a nice twin room, very clean just like before. Small kitchenette with small fridge, but the ice-compartment was very weak, so my ice-batteries melted off for the next day:( Also I have to mention, that one of the less conscious guest was lazy enough to go outside having a cigarette, and just before 2am the fire alarm started to wake us up. We all went outside to the front assembly point, but at some point nobody appeared to investigate or stop the alarm even after about 10 long (and noisy) minutes. So I headed to the office, where I found a note with the number of the caretaker and called him. He was probably in the neighbour campsite, as after my call came over very quickly, but yet I am surprised if he was there, how was not able to hear the alarm from the motel. Altogether it was about a 15 minutes experience, but with the extremely loud fire-alarm on it was really refreshing, too... Took about an hour to fall back asleep. To think of the length of this issue, I really got to doubt it should be safe in a serious situation. And of course before 2am, when 95% of people sleep, nobody can be sure if the situation is serious or just a lazy guest's cigarette. I just hope there will be an improvement of the reaction time in the future, as it didn't seem to me too dependable. Other than that (which was enough), the motel is clean, tidy, good for a short stay, and easily accessible on the side of A21, with a good sized car park, camp site, benches and playing area for kids.

Stopped here for one night on our way home from a trip. This was our first stay here and we were not disappointed. It was quite basic but for the price it was more than I expected - it was spotlessly clean, larger than I expected and there were even tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits and some shower gels etc in the bathroom. I can thoroughly recommend.
