As per the title, we can't quite put our finger on it but this place really does have an indefinable quality that makes it a truly memorable experience. The place is located in a serene area amongst an orange and olive tree plantation. The rooms are large, clean and nicely decorated. Just a short walk to the local lori beach and quieter puerto rico beach, the location is excellent but I definitely recommend a mode of transport as the walk can be tiring after a long day of eating, drinking and sun bathing! Nico (the manager, waiter, chef and cleaner!) is a great guy and he went out of his way to make us feel so welcome. We have just one criticism, there was no food (except for breakfast) on offer. After reading reviews we were particularly excited about the food so it's a shame Rida (the owner) wasn't available over the 3 nights. Oh also, you basically get your own pet dog when you stay. He adopted us and we wish we could've taken him home with us. Thanks Nico, Leo & Emily :)

The accommodation is quite basic but quite on an hill and for the price we paid good. Staff was nice too. The restaurant is compared to the ones we have been before in Albania quite expensive. You can walk to the "center" of Ksamil in around 15 min.

The rooms are at ground level and comfortable with TV. Friendly english speaking owner. The shower needs a bit of reorganisation as it is not screened and water goes everywhere although I noticed this design elsewhere in Southern Albania. The grounds are lovely with olive trees and there is parking on site. Five minutes walk to the quieter Lori beach. What makes this a five is the little restaurant at Ridavillage. The breakfast was excellent with fresh orange juice, decent coffee and home made jams etc. The evening meals excellent fish dishes or Burtrint mussels. Decent local Albanian wine and home made ice cream all ridiculously cheap.

This place was a lifesaver for us. We needed to check out on a hotel in Sarande because of the noise from the nightclubs and booked six nights from Ridavillage, which is a simple hotel a little outside of the Ksamil village. The rooms are simple but clean and feature all the necessities like A/C, TV, bathroom and shower and a really comfortable bed. It is actually more like a B&B place than an actual hotel. There is a few small building around the "village" which have a few rooms each. Because of the location, there is no noise like in the villages of Sarande or Ksamil, and it is just so great to relax and sleep well after a day on the beach and I highly recommend this hotel to those, who appreciate quietness. Keep in mind that there is nothing right next to Ridavillage, so you need to walk for a while or have a car to get to the beach, restaurants or supermarket. The staff is amazing, both the owner Rida and the waiter Niko - you feel like a guest at someone's home and they do everything they can to make your stay perfect. There is a little restaurant at Ridavillage that serves a good breakfast (not buffet) and tasty food at dinner time. If there is something to complain, Wi-Fi doesn't always work well in the rooms. But it always worked well at the restaurant area and outside areas. If I return to Sarande/Ksamil area, I would definitely choose this accomodation again.
