The Residences at Crystal Towers garners appreciation for its location near Canal Walk and various dining options. However, some guests have found the rooms to be a mixed bag, with praise for spaciousness but also reports of maintenance and security issues. Inconsistent cleanliness within the hotel has been a concern, with some guests commending the tidiness while others encounter problems. The service has been criticized for being unhelpful and unresponsive. Furthermore, the value and amenities have disappointed several travelers, who cite privacy issues and unmet expectations.

We booked a luxury studio for the nite as we were attending a wedding at a nearby wine estate.

We requested an early check in around 13h00 and Isabel Delport was more than accommodating to attend to this request. The studio was absolutely stunning, sizeable kitchen, comfortable lounge area, excellent bedding and linen, great rainshower bathroom, and a sizeable balcony, all spotlessly clean.

Included is the onsite covered secure parking, all at a fraction of the cost of the surrounding hotels! Thank you to the Residence team.

The second bedroom was a bit small and most importantly noisy from patrons from the pool bar area, as it was next to the room/windows. Constant loud talking made it a problem to sleep or rest. The apt is nice but lacking som basics such as a pot to boil eggs (or pasta) no good knives, especially no knife to cut bread. No wine bottle opener! Internet is crucial for work or holiday and one is very surprised that no UPS back up for the internet was available in such a property. I had to go and buy one so we could use the internet during the constant problems with loadshedding, and tripping generators. We took for granted that the property would be loadshedding free as it was part of the Marriott Crystal Towers Hotel /Residences.

Its a good place to stay in, the breakfast is continental with no gluten free options, but there is a woolworths next to the hotel that sells a wide variety of gluten free goods, I found rusks. Biscuits, bread, various muffins, hot cross buns, hamburger rolls, hotdog rolls etc ..all gluten free. Its a bit of a walk with steps to canal walk, so if you have difficulty walking you may have to go by car. The sliding door in my studio did not open , I would have preferred fresh air for ventilation now during covid times. Staff excellent.

The location is fantastic and the room was clean but not well maintained. Stain on the carpet, chipped paint at the skirtings, the room had a very strong cleaning smell in it all weekend. Iron couldn’t hold water and leaked.

No hot water Friday and Saturday and was told some element blew that affected the boiler and no alternative was given for this situation. Warm water only came back on Sunday at 9am just before checking out.

I had better expectations considering the hotel is next door, but disappointed, wouldn’t stay here again

The service were excellent. When we wanted to go for a swim the pool has closed. Pool closes for swimming at 19h00, it in summer and it is a hotel. There shouldn't be a restricted time. The room were equipped with very modern electric plugs and appliances and we struggled a bit to operate the stove and plugs, there were no instructions. The freezer were frozen up and we couldn't open the draws. To me this were miner issues see that my stay was only for one night.

Overall it was a very beautiful place to stay and the scenery was tranquil and spectacular. Will definitely go again.

We were in Cape Town with work. Our stay at the Crystal Towers was like a home from home. The staff were excellent and the addition of a breakfast (if comprised of some weird food items at times) was welcome.

We had a studio room which was spacious and comfortable. it would have been better to have had a sofa rather than two armchairs but that's nit picking.

The free parking is great as was the free wifi.

The cleaning of the 2 bedroom apartment that I have booked was not upto standard. Not very welcoming as the entrance carpet was so filthy with chocolate wrappers. Behind the master bedroom door there was a clear plastic bag. Living room area had clumps of hair. The 2nd bedroom was not properlyade up and the window in that bedroom could not be locked (This is a major security issue) The phone in the apartment was not working. Incomplete amenities in the apartment, no facial tissues, no hair conditioner. When asked for hair conditioner I was given a body lotion instead. Overall disappointing place and not worth it!!! When asked to speak to the in charge manager, he/she did not come to see me and just ignored my feedback. Please AVOID this place as you will be totally disappointed!!!

The property itself is lovely the two bedroom apartment is big enough for family of four.

Beds are uncomfortable.

Couches are worn, dirty and uncomfortable.

Wi-Fi was poor, not good enough for a video call and would not pick up in the rooms only in the lounge area.

Kitchen was not well stocked with the amenities that is suppose to be there for self catering, I never had any pots or pans it is a 4 sleeper and the cutlery never had 4 of everything.

We had no hand wash or lotion in the bathrooms.

Balcony was dirty and cigarettes buds on it not cleaned from the last people that were there.

When bringing to manager attention they have tried to fix it however we were already disappointed in the service that we received.

Food was left in oven from previous guest and kitchen was stinking of off food.

Not value for money.

While we going through the pandemic we had people in and out of our apartment trying to fix everything while we are checked in already not great idea.

Managed to land 70% discount on room and thus got a small flat for the price of an average B&B. Awesome value for money and excellence service to top it off. Will definitely recommend to look out for the specials. Hotel also perfectly located for business trips around CT

I have no regrets of staying here. I totally enjoyed my time. Great staff. The room was great. Private wifi for the room was very much appreciated. The location is great, especially with the very large shopping centre accessible via a foot bridge over the canal that runs from The Residences directly to the shopping centre. Kitchen could have had a bit more cutlery and cooking utensils (but I managed with what was there). Found the lighting for the bathroom mirror a bit dark, but not the end of the world. If I visit Cape Town again, I will not hesitate to book here.

I am used to driving and the route is straight forward from the airport. You will need to take the M2 from the airport, drive about 9kms and onramp on milnerton to join the N1 Paarl, Immediately stay on far left and offramp to sable road. Drive for 2km and the place is located at century city boulevard. I am not sure about the Myciti bus and hop on hop off. It is also easy to get to V&A waterfront using the N1 route.
