I recently took my partner here to celebrate our anniversary and we were totally blown away. The place is in such a pristine and seemingly remote location despite only being a 15 minute drive from Tofo Beach. You truly get the feeling of being on your own private island which is a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of Tofo.

Rahel prepared for us a wonderful picnic which we enjoyed in a private spot overlooking Inhambane's stunning mangrove forest followed by what was up there with the most delicious pizza we have ever had. We are both cheese obsessed, but now vegan, and could not believe how delicious the plant based alternatives Rahel created for us were!

The decor and attention to detail around the place is incredibly tasteful, only drawback is that you are going to want to rebuild your house to imitate it!

I have lived in the small town of Tofo for over 4 years so to find such a unique hidden gem so close to home is very exciting indeed!

Thank you to all the Mafu Haus team for a lovely afternoon, we can't wait to visit again.

We loved our stay here - it’s such a unique place. The bungalow type rooms have been built with care and are beautifully decorated. The staff are wonderful and so knowledgeable about the area and organised activities for us so we could learn more about the local area. The food was great - especially the fresh pizza and the pancakes at breakfast. It will be even better when the pool is ready and it’s worth knowing there is not easy access to the sea or beach but it’s a short drive to both the wondrous tofu and Barra beaches
