Came up for a couples weekend. We paid $350 for a "condo suite" with lots of amenities, including a tub and stovetop. The room had neither. What it did have was shabby. The floor is worn, the fixtures tired, and furniture cheap. The king bed was a joke - a thin, worn mattress like an old futon. But the worst part is the whole room vibrates. The bed, the floor, the chairs all vibrate due to an overworked air handler. It's not clear how anyone is supposed to sleep! This place needs a major redo, and serious HVAC upgrades. Do not stay!
checked into room 1202 and it left alot to be desired. An update is definitely needed. The A/C did not work so we were moved to 1206. Yeah the A/C worked. BUTTT as i was about to use the bathroom in the master bedroom, the floor had about an inch of water on it. Looked up and it was coming from the light fixture. Not the smartest but i don't think water and electricity mix. Called front desk but was told only one room left only had two king beds. A party of 5 doesn't work with 2 king beds. I was also told that the move was only for one night and then after the maintenance staff looked at leak, we would be moved back into the old room. Not happening. So at 1 in the morning we checked out and drove back to Minneapolis. The hotel needs to spend some money on upgrades. Staff was very nice though just not as accommodating as i would have expected for 350 a night. FIND A DIFFERENT HOTEL…
Large room. Suite 1201. Really large! Two separate bedrooms, one with two double beds (with an en suite) and one with a king bed (there was another bathroom off the main area). There was a large sitting area, a kitchen, and a huge area with a jacuzzi tub and large table. (This is weird to me...not a fan of the jacuzzi sitting in the main room.). The room was really clean but quite dark, and the furnishings were sort of mismatched. Kind of a strange vibe. But it was clean and plenty of space for our family if four to lay our heads after a concert at Festival Park, Great spot on the peninsula. Breakfast was subpar, even for a hotel. And the coffee was terrible. We went elsewhere.
Do not use Guest Reservations when making a reservation. This website is a scam, as are all their reviews. Unfortunately, I was not paying close enough attention when booking online, and the website link was very close to the actual hotel. AFTER I booked the receipt showed an upcharge of 70.00 that was not initially on the transaction. When I attempted to dispute it 5 minutes later they told me it was past the cancellation date, which was actually 2 days prior. How does that even make sense?!? I called them immediately. Anyway, avoid this website at all costs.
Great building in the heart of canal park that has private parking and is pet friendly! I loved seeing the history of it incorporated. Was a unique experience that I want to experience again. A front and back door, a nearly full kitchen and a private bedroom. Not used to this lol
