We were happy to find this hotel where we could bring our small sized dog and overall it was not a bad stay. The ice machine, swimming pool, and pop machine were all out of order and the back door entrance not only didn't lock but did not close tight. Our room was clean though the carpet could have used some cleaning. Overall I would say this property was okay and I would probably stay here again because it's the only play to stay in the town and they allow dogs but if I owned this property I'd put some time into fixing a few things up.

Clean and friendly. There was nothing said about the pool and hot tub being closed when I called to book. Kids were disappointed. Dated and aging, but like I said, it was clean and the pillows and beds were comfortable.
Family run by the looks of it, with family members hanging out in the lobby during the weekday. Changed checkin/out times by placing tape over the sign. Tough to plan without knowing.

This hotel seems to have been a Country Inn and Suites in a former life, so the decor and amenities follow that franchise. The staff are friendly and responsive, although they are very thinly staffed. I've stayed in both the king suite and the double queen: rooms are good-sized, need some maintenance but nothing major, no complaints about the beds, and the setting is quiet. You have to look for it the first time, as it is set back from Hwy 169 and accessed by a frontage road that isn't immediately obvious. The hotel is all non-smoking and is kept clean. They do not have an elevator, but have generally accommodated requests for a first floor room: there are a mix of room types on both floor. I've consistently experienced the breakfast not being stocked, but the hotel is very near a McDonald's as a fast, basic alternative. Hibbing has few lodging options, and this is close enough to be an option instead. The prices are reasonable for this type of hotel on the Iron Range.

With all the covid 19 restrictions in place per the state I found my stay was great. Even with the food restrictions we were given a list of options and were provided a prebagged breakfast with the options we chose the night before. We did have an issue with the heater in our room stop working overnight and with the temperature being below zero our room cooled down quickly. When I reported the problem to Kayla F, she went to work and changed out room to the one directly across the hall and got us taken care of quickly. We stayed there 5 nights and had no other issues.
Kayla followed up with us to make sure everything was ok and appreciated our business. All of the staff were friendly and helpful

This place is very run down. The whole pool area is under renovation due to mold so it can’t be used. Not something they mention when booking or have listed on website. The rest of the building appears to be in different stages of renovation as there’s are loose boards, flooring and trim pieces everywhere. Some carpets have holes worn in them. Ice machine is out of order and seems to have been for some time from other reviews. Our group rented several rooms and none of them were overly clean and some asked to have carpets re vacuumed and bathrooms cleaned more. Several in our group found old food in the fridges of their rooms showing lack of care or quality of cleaning of the rooms. We mentioned the food in the fridge upon checkout to make sure they cleaned them and not even an offer to provide a discount or simple “sorry about that”. Just not worth the price when there are other hotels in the area. The waffles for the free breakfast weren’t bad and was about the only good part of the stay.

Couldn’t use the pool, Icemaker broken. We were there for Three days. Room not very clean. Back of toilet had Band-Aid stuck in it and dirt visible. Asked for a small discount due to no icemaker or use of pool, but was refused. We had a small Yorky which they charged $15 per night for and is paper trained. We were in a room that had various obvious pee spots all over before we used the room. Would not recommend!

Well after being told one thing when making a reservation and finding a completly different scenario after checking in I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I was told I could have my daughters birthday party therewhen I made the reservation only to find out that I couldn't. $200 later I didn't even stay at the hotel because I was so frustrated with the whole ordeal. Do not waste your money here.

By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Bathrooms smelled of cigarette smoke, stains on the carpet, air condition sometimes worked, no customer service, there was a small child laying on the floor in the lobby for several hours watching tv and when we complained about loud pounding and driling noises there response was "I can't hear it" then dead silence. Never stay here.

We have stayed here a number of times over the years visiting family in the area. It is old and it is simple, but it is always clean and we have what we need. It is also very reasonably priced. We had a great stay - other than the fact that the parking lot is so very dark, we had no complaints!

I’ve been waiting for a partial refund. The TVs were not working in the room. I was offered a $25 refund, I accepted, but it has not appeared. It’s been 3 weeks. They keep telling me to talk to manager, Becky, but she is never there when I call. I’m not happy.
